I thought of making a vocaloid game

So i've been thinking of making a Doom mod where you can choose your favorite vocaloids with their own unique abilities and fight other players in a map, or you can also play co op on regular doom maps and rip and tear some demon butt. Does this sound interesting to anybody?. I sadly can't do sprites so i'd probably need help making the sprites but i know DECORATE and action code script.

UTAU website idea

So i'm not a coder but i had an idea for a website where you can upload an utau voicebank with images and tags and it'd work similarly to a booru. I'm one of the mods at Vocapedia, the vocal-synth Encyclopedia. Since some of you seemed interested in the project I wanted to elaborate on what the project consists of and how you can help.

As many of you know most Vocaloid related fan-wikis today are missing a lot of recent information or don't cover more than just voicebanks and a few songs. Vocapedia aims to encapsulate all of that into one place and cover even more content: fan-concerts, official websites, fansites, history, etc.

The Faceless Vocaloid Project

I assume most of /leek/ is aware of fan-designs of Vocaloids that do not have a canon design. Such as Primina, Yandere!Prima, those very old Leon/Lola designs that would show up a lot on NND, or entire projects that aim to give designs to faceless 'loids such as Rice and Circus' Vimalion Pro.

Since you anons have been behind notable creative projects such as the leekaloids. I want to propose the creation of a new project that gives every faceless synth a face. That includes pre-V6 era vocaloids such as Tonio, less popular synths such as LalaVoice, etc. The idea isn't to compete with Vimalion or similar projects but to create our own designs that anyone can use and let anons collaborate to make some good fuggin' characters.

Luka means a lot to me. She was the first Vocaloid voicebank i heard, and it's really disappointing how irrelevant she's been becoming lately. It feels like the only people left who still care about Luka are SEKAIkids who discovered her from the game and are probably more familiar with her awful SP voice that Crypton keeps pushing, than the original V2 that was used in classics like GGRKS and Magnet. I just wanted to get that off my chest. I love Luka and I miss her.

AH-SOFTWARE's "Songs Love" Concert

Hi /leek/, has anyone here heard of "Songs Love"? Between 2015-2017 AH-Software did a few hologram concerts with their vocaloids at some anime conventions in Japan and Europe. The lineup was actually pretty big and consisted of Yuzuki Yukari, Nekomura Iroha, Tohoku Zunko, Hiyama Kyoteru, Kaai Yuki, Miki and Macne Nana as well as Chihiro Ishiguro who voices Yukari. Since I'm a huge fan of both Yuki and Yukari I decided to do some digging to see if I could find a full video of at least one of the concerts. Typically when Vocaloid concerts happen you can usually find the whole thing on YouTube from start to finish but that's not the case with Songs Love. Most of it is in fact LOST.

How much has the vocaloid fandom changed?

This isn't a doomer post, but how has Miku exponentially exploded in popularity over the past few years? It started with Brazilian Miku, then Fortnite. Now she's a huge part of the Fifa world cup discourse. Miku was always big, but she wasn't this mainstream.

In terms of the characters, Teto, Neru and Gumi have surpassed all of the Cryptoloids, which was unthinkable a decade ago. Every meme now has one of those four, and most people don't even know about anyone else?

I tried listening to Mesmerizer, but it's the most overstimulating vocaloid song I've ever heard and watched. There's been some great songs in this new era, but there's definitely been a shift in what's popular online.

Is it because everyone is online now? Why is everything about Miku so widespread when I thought it had limited appeal? Did everyone have a mass preference change? I used to think that vocaloid only appealed to niche communities, but has the common demomenator shifted so much that Miku is now an icon? Has the internet always been mentally ill in general? What makes the internet make something appealing to a wider audience if doing so in real life works differently? Is the internet just a place of honesty of the mind? Does Miku somehow represent the internet and how it's moldable to your liking? Are people now realizing the appeal of Miku, or did they never realize that they had an inherent inclination towarda something like her which was awoken from the internet?

What does the future hold for Vocaloid?

It's easy to say we're in a second golden age of Vocaloid right now. Hundreds of songs are being made per day, small producers (including english and non-english ones) have been getting their moments of fame, old producers are returning to the scene, many beloved voicebanks are getting upgraded while 2ch VIPPERLOIDs are finally getting official voicebanks on commercial engines, if you can't afford VOCALOID there's hundred of synths available (Some are even free!). The fact that this site is so active in an era where imageboards are barely relevant anymore goes to show how many people care about Vocaloid.

But we gotta remember that just 10 years ago things seemed bleak. Producers were quitting, people were saying that Vocaloid was dying, many Vocaloid related websites were shutting down, and there was an overall feeling that Vocaloid was on its last legs.

Things don't last forever. As much as it sucks, this "2nd golden age" of Vocaloid will eventually come to an end and bring us back to where we were 10 years ago. So with that said, when we inevitably return to the "dark times", what do you think will happen and what could save the scene?.

I'm making this thread after it was suggested in the Leekaloid thread that we split this into a separate thread. The tl;dr if you're too lazy to lurk is that we thought it'd be funny to prank western vocaloid fans into thinking there's a V6 voicebank that doesn't actually exist. And by that i mean gaslighting them into thinking our fake voicebank always existed.

My suggestion for the character's "backstory" is that you could obtain it by asking one of the vocal synth companies privately or that it was a voicebank that someone purchased a copy of a V6 voicebank and got the fake one instead.

You fags are more creative than me though so let me hear what you've got.

The weird, obscure and experimental side of Vocaloid

Recently I've been really into experimental or conceptual Vocaloid projects. Watashi no Koko for example pushes the limits of the LalaVoice engine and experiments with themes such as death and being forgotten through the eyes of the protagonist named Lala. Another one I enjoy is Project FRUITY, which uses FL Studio's speech plugin (yes, the actual thing, not a jinriki) for the vocals.

Do things like these still exist? The closest thing I can think of that's quite recent is Iruka no Yume de Sayounara by ATOLS but that's not even Vocaloid, its just made by a Vocaloid producer.

Video sites and apps

I wasnt sure if this best goes in /leek/ or /g/ but I'm curious what everyone uses for all your ~loid needs? Do you use more YouTube, Niconico, or Bilibili or all of them? Do you use web interface or apps? What apps do you use?

I currently still use videos from YouTube primarily because Niconico sometimes wont load for me and only goes to 720p and on the site itself I am often region blocked out it seems but I may start using it more if it becomes more convenient than YouTube to do so. I know a lot of producers release on Niconico first but do many only use Niconico?

App wise on Android I primarily use PipePipe (previously called AnimePipe) as is which is a fork of NewPipe that you can watch YouTube, Niconico and Bilibili videos on. I have noticed YouTube often blocks my IP so I have to reset my IP and watch some videos in YouTube's app letting some ads through to work again for that. Niconico features breaks a lot but they still are development so often it gets fixed in a few days, this is due to the site often changing how it embeds videos.

What makes your favorite 'loid special to you, anons? I'm curious what makes everyone feel their own connection.

I love Kaito for many reasons. Mainly because of his voice, but also because my memories of listening to him sing go so far back that his tone and intonation are familiar to me in the way that my mother's is. I found Vocaloid when I was about 8 or 9. I loved clockwork, automatons, and folk instruments as a child, and felt very drawn to him because of his association with those motifs at the time. After years of only listening, I bought him when I was in high school. I had no idea what I was doing, and had no musical experience due to having very poor motor coordination and auditory processing issues. He was my motivation to learn to understand music and to sing myself, and became an emotional outlet for expressing all of my joys and struggles over the years. I'm in my mid 20s now. I've outgrown friendships, romantic partners, jobs, shed and rebuilt many aspects of my own self, but that feeling of love and solace never seems to fade.

What about your own brings you joy and comfort, anons? What bonds you to them? I'd like to share in that warmth with you all.

The Reincarnation Project

Hi /leek/, I've recently come up with a concept for a project where we take cancelled voicebanks (think Sonika v4, Suzune Ring, etc) and create derivatives of them with new names, new voices and redesigns which, although different, still keep some important aspects of their original designs. I call it the Reincarnation Project because the idea is that these "dead" Vocaloids are being reincarnated and given a new life, a second opportunity.
This project would be completely separate from the Leekaloids. The only thing they'd have in common is the community making them.

When I'm watching an anime or a foreign film, I read the subtitles, but when I'm listening to music, most of the time, I don't pay any attention to the lyrics. where to find HQ original supercell songs?

I don't really know if its widely known but a lot of supercell's older miku songs are pretty different from the album releases as they were remastered a few times. I was trying to find the original version of love is war in high quality (mainly because I think each remaster made it worse), but after an hour or two of looking through soulseek I stumbled upon a folder that had low quality versions of the art featured in the 2008 music video and a higher quality lossy mp3 file of the song (along with some other stuff like an instrumental). I couldn't find any of the other songs like this and when I asked the soulseek uploader he told me that it was apart of a VRMC torrent, and that he thinks it was originally something supercell put up for download way back then. It's worth mentioning stuff like the official melt PV in HD is considered "lost media" and probably wasn't uploaded anywhere in higher quality than 480p so it's making me doubt that the original versions of the songs weren't uploaded beyond lossy mp3/compressed format. Posting this here because I don't really know where else to look

39chan's Miku Day 2026 Cytube Stream

Hello everyone. Remember the Miku Day event last year? We're doing another! This time the stream will start on March 15th at 10:00 PM UTC (6:00 PM EDT), so about a week from the time of this post.

Rules:
1- Songs must be /leek/ related (vocal synth based). Songs made with speech synthesis software like Voiceroid are fine too.
2- Add one song at a time if possible. I'm going to add a whole playlist so that we have enough songs for a while, but you'll be able to add new songs at the top of the playlist that will play right after the current song.
3- 39chan rules apply.

Note that we will be reordering the playlist and might close it at one point.

Bootleg Vocaloid Software (Not Pocaloid)

So this is something I've been thinking about for a few days now, we have like the obvious parody software like Maidloid and joke-type stuff, but aside from cracked versions of Vocaloid or UTAU alternatives, I've never really seen a bootleg Vocaloid software.

At most, I've only ever seen some scammers on ebay selling Pirated vbs and editors as legit copies before, but that's not really bootleg in the same way you would find a bloated bootleg copy of Windows that claims to be a new version no one's ever heard of before. At most, I've only really seen bootleg merch.

Have any of you seen weird bootleg Vocaloid software before, or something you could consider as such?
