I most likely will, she's pretty similar to Piko and Kiyoteru in voice quality so I wouldn't be shocked if she's similar to use. Piko is one of the easiest JPloids and I wish he had more codes so more people would use him.

I remember when I got into Vocaloid around 2013 I researched every bank I could, but I've gathered that's pretty rare. I didn't start fucking around with the software until I got Miki V2 and V4E in 2016, though. I wish I could have gotten a lot of now-discontinued banks, like Leon, so I understand why it'd be painful for people to want him and not have him. I wish I could have gotten him legally too, but at the time it wasn't financially viable for me. I was a teenager back in 2018 and didn't have income until very recently, as an adult.

Someone was selling a code for him at around 20k yen on Yahoo Auction in December but they were only distributing the actual code and the installer through PMs and no proxy service said they could midddleman when I asked. I'm still sad thinking about it. Meanwhile I check now and the last sold Piko physical was at 300k.

20K yen is less than I paid for Lily, but it's still pretty expensive sadly, about $138.52. 300K yen is insane, it's about $2K. That said, I have to agree with the other anon that it sounds like a scam.
If I saw Piko for 20K yen in his box with a deactivated code, I'd buy him as soon as I could, but something tells me he'd sell faster than I could find him.

They don’t sadly. I’ve never had any confirmation this is true but supposedly any remaining zero-g physicals got ET’d, aka ended up in a landfill somewhere.

Again, no clue if this is true. That being said what is true is the store that was selling the physicals not only moved offices so they stopped selling physical items, but they closed a year or two ago. So we’re stuck looking for secondhand copies sadly.

Ye, the change is still pretty recent too, July 2024, so a lot of people are still only just now finding out about the change. Whether I don’t think a lot of others know yet - aside from the fact Crypton still sells them - is that the V2s and hopefully V1s are transitioning from physical to digital sales on a case by case basis. The day Miku V2 physicals run out I think a lot of people will be surprised.

It was I think sometime in 2025 or maybe even 2024 AHS had started changing a few things up, especially to aid in getting rid of the old products they’ve been trying to discontinue. Miki V2 was put up on Amazon for a period and sometime this year Amazon ran out leaving only secondhand parties for example. Ngl I think Zunko V3 might be like, the very last to go so I can see AHS putting in an updated catalog a few more times.

Miki V2 was my first Vocaloid, so I'm very biased in favor of her voicebank and recommend it. There's a couple quirks she has that people would probably find annoying, like a few broken vowel transitions (significantly less than V2 Cryptonloids) and Miki's tone tends to go slightly off pitch, but I personally find it charming and suits her robotic aesthetic. She's also easy to tune, in my opinion.

See this becomes a pain in the ass when you remember AHS has discs in their SV2 physicals but the SV2 discs are quite literally useless compared to SV1 because they don’t even contain the vb installer.

Honestly any SV2 is forced digital only even if it has a cd or dvd, any physical VoiSona. Any CFM V3 and V4 starting July 2024 (if you want discs of these, you have to look secondhand like Yahoo auctions or mercari jp), any CFM V6 and NT, some SV1 boxes like Voicemith and the bang dream ones. Soyogi Soyogi and the honey works girls boxes are empty. V6 banks are variable, rn if it isn’t connected to internet, it’s probably a card with dl instructions.

There are a few odd balls like the last 400 SeeU and Vsinger V5’s that have USBs instead of dvds, but I still kinda count those as physical media because they still give you something with the installer on it.

I know this is not the thread for it but someone should make physical boxes for the leekas
