/leek/ - Luka means a lot to me. She was the first Vocaloid voicebank i heard, and it's really disappointing how irrelevant she's been becoming lately. It feels like the only people left who still care about Luka are SEKAIkids who discovered her from the game and are probably more familiar with her awful SP voice that Crypton keeps pushing, than the original V2 that was used in classics like GGRKS and Magnet. I just wanted to get that off my chest. I love Luka and I miss her.

Her V4 voicebank is also not good at all but i'll take it over SP. I wish that Crypton would host a Luka event or something would happen to encourage more people to use Luka again but i guess we gotta rely on Miku Expo entries.

I remember her being as popular as Teto is now back in the 2000's. Dont really know what happened to the other vocaloids that released alongside miku. They still get merch but Megurine Luka just kind of disappeared and doesnt get many newer songs.

I'd argue she's still relevant. I recall her ranking up pretty high in that recent VocaDB songs chart. Teto has definitely taken every other loid's spotlight but the cryptonloids will always remain relevant, especially with Sekai kids even if Sekai itself's not exactly the best rep for the Cryptonloids.

Different story with Meiko though.

Luka songs are still being made anyway but they usually don't go mainstream. If you check vocadb there's songs being made for your favorite loids almost everyday but most of them stay at like 300 views.
