Does anybody know what to do about this? I've never noticed it before but apparently my mic muffles the noise whenever I hold a note. I recorded the song a few times and every long note gets super muffled because of this

I doubt it's noise suppression. It sounds like really crappy automatic gain calibration from laptop mic drivers. You might be able to disable it, but probably faster to just to use something else.

I think it's built into the headset mic by default with no option to disable, I tried with my phone today and the quality sucks as well.

If I can't find another solution I'll just post the version where the long notes get muffled, but I haven't given up quite yet. Mixer anon if you're reading this pls give us a heads up before you are about to finish mixing the song!

So instead of fixing any of my mistakes I decided to focus on what really matters and go for a take of the intro... I honestly didn't even realize it was there until now, it's so quiet. It's really hard to hold a consistent note at that pitch, but I got lucky today. Or, close enough lol.
