They're clearly trying to invoke Kei's iconic V2 Miku design with some modernizations instead of going with something different like V2 Append or V3 English. I might have expected more novelty to get people excited for the new technology, but Crypton seem to be offering a familiar look for Miku instead.

Good design. I like the art style. Most importantly her massive twintails are back.

I like all the little touches they've added from V2. The zipper boots are funny, like they talked to one cosplayer about what's practical. Don't care much for the shading or the weird halftone dots on the one twintail, but it's a good base.

Might be a weird callout but I find her slightly blank facial expression very cute. It’s appropriately robotic.

The worst part about the white shirt era was how every design felt the same. Now that Miku has a new illustrator and her shirt is gray again, I can say V4 is my favorite from that time. It was the design that felt the most like it was doing its own thing, even if that thing was kind of bland. Chinese Miku is also unique, but it feels more like a costume to me.

alright i dont own miku v6 yet but listening to all the recent covers and songs with v6 i can say that i prefer it to v4, at least the english voice. i can see why crypton are so proud of it.

Admittedly as funny as it is seeing people worry this is the last Miku bank, it does make me worry how easy a misinterpretation were to become spread by everyone so quickly. It even was spoken about by a handful of Japanese speakers.

As obvious as the answer is “no, Crypton will make more Miku banks because she makes a lot of money for the company”, it does genuinely worry me how much of the community jumps to negative conclusions near immediately. It happens way too frequently these days. Even I’m guilty as charged, but I try to approach responsibly at least.

Adding on to this, there were multiple ways to buy the editor too, plus they kept adding new options through the years. Like Miku V6 alone you can get the Lite editor or you can get the starter pack which has the full version. Most people only referenced the base bundle Yamaha offered for years which included a bajillion banks.

If you ask me, the fact some people get mad at some of the options for the Lite editor upgrade pricing is a bit ridiculous since the pricing for just the full editor is close to what V4’s used to be iirc.
