Wow. He's got a pretty nice voice. Its a shame he probably isn't returning to voice AL in nChant considering he really did not like working on AL at all. I think AL with a nicer, bigger range would have been spectacular. But we'll see if we still get that.

Adding to the thread, this one's from LEON's alleged voice provider, Lance Ellington. Seems like a lot of V1 Engloid VPs were active during that period where house music was all the rage. Which works out perfectly for me, of course. In my opinion, Lance is definitely one of the nicest sounding vocalists out of all the known Vocaloid voice providers. Not that I'm BIASED or anything. :)

Continuing the thread, for those unaware, Leon's voice provider Lance has been making regular appearances on the popular BBC programme Strictly Come Dancing since about the early 2000s. Its basically Dancing with the Stars but British and theres live music covers of popular songs happening while they're dancing. Hence where Lance comes in.

To make things short, in the Vocaloid1 official tutorials by Zero-G, there's a frame near the end where you can see some internal V1 voicebank folders, and two of them are named Lance and Juliet. Seeing as these were packaged with the first 2 Vocaloids, and the knowledge that Leon and Lola are both voiced by very successful, black session singers in the UK, Lance Ellington and Juliet Roberts are the most likely candidates.

Also if you just listen to this guy speak in his normal voice, (vidrel) that's literally just Leon. There's no universe where it's not him. Although obviously due to NDAs neither Lance or Zero-G can ever confirm that.

Please Touch Me Lola isnt a demo made by Zero-G, but it was one of the many demos made by Jasmine Music Technology to show off their own developments made with the software in the hopes of eventually being able to develop YV Enhancer. More on that is in the Leon thread but that demo as well as the other Jasmine demos were made months and months after release. So he probably does not know. And for that i am glad.

But what im curious to above anything else is what his, as well as Lola's VP's motives were for agreeing to voice the Vocaloids in the first place. Obviously because theres financial incentive, but considering they're both session singers, and Vocaloid at the time was marketed as "a session singer in a box", wouldn't it seem counterintuitive to want to do something like this? Or maybe they knew there'd be no chance the end product would ever replace them and thats why they agreed lol
