I'm excited! Namine Ritsu was ALWAYS one of my favorite UTAUs and Canon has always been familiar with imageboard culture, so she's a perfect fit for our Q&A.

Canon uses 2channel, which is a textboard. 39chan is more on par with Futaba Channel being an imageboard (a lot of gaijin tend to confuse the two).
I'm wondering why she chose 39chan instead of 4chan though, but I'm not complaining.

That's never ever gonna happen. Teto already had an established fanbase prior to SV and was pretty much a mascot to UTAU the way Miku is to Vocaloid. Ritsu on the other hand was never as big. He could get a SynthV in a distant future but they'd forget about him weeks after his release the same way its going to happen to Miko now with her new V6.

There's also the fact that Ritsu is in pretty much every non mainstream commercial engine. Like that other anon said, if those never took off then its unlikely that a SV/V6 would.
At best you'd get a bunch of covers and originals from small producers like it happened fo GekiKaze.

Realistically, is there any possibility of Ritsu ever coming to a mainstream commercial engine like Vocaloid or SynthV? Perhaps even VoiSona if you consider that mainstream?. Because let's face it, almost no one is using 90% of the engines he's on. I don't want another Teto effect to happen, but I want my boy to get out of obscure synth hell.

Yeah you can, you just add another folder in your training data, with the different singer, when you train it adds the new phonemes. That's called parallel training. Then when it's finished, you can delete the other singer (it's called a speaker) from your Diffsinger. That's how Tigermeat made Adachi Rei Diffsinger with support for other languages.
So you can take Ritsu's files, find a public dataset for English, add it as another speaker and train them together. Tho keep in mind according to Ritsu's TOS his dataset can only be used to make Ritsu as the final product. So you can use others to add languages to him, but u can't for example use his dataset to add Japanese support to your English voicebank.
