She's Shogyou Kana! I don't blame you for not knowing her since she only seems to have niche popularity in China. Luckily the creator seems to have an active account on Xiaohongshu so it's as easy as messaging them there. I wasn't aware of Momoko's personal life, but that probably explains why Momo hasn't had many originals recently in spite of how iconic she is. I admit I didn't exactly have too much hope in the first place since my only means of contact is a very old and possibly inactive looking email contact. Working on a 3D model based on Rainelyn00's Meiko. Not sure if I'll finish, especially with how painful UV unwrapping tends to be, but I'm a bit proud of how the mesh turned out. If I finish it I'll probably ask for permission first and then maybe release it as a MMD model.

I remember the day it happened was like a week after Legacy's release, I used to have it but it stopped working on my new computer so I unfortunately have to choose between Legacy or finding a patch for my legal disc copy because it uses Secu-ROM.
Anyways, the TORIKO skin is awesome and I'm giddy to see new ones pop up eventually. I hope I can figure out how to make or port custom meshes someday so I can make my own UTAU.

I don't remember how much training data was in this but i do remember it wasn't much and also we had to use RVC due to the voice provider not being able to pronounce Japanese words.

Someone shared a method of doing multilang in another thead though, if i'm not mistaken, so we'll look into that and hopefully we'll be able to drop RVC entirely.

Attached audio is what the DS sounds like when mixed which is slightly better.

I always felt theirs was the weakest render because it just looks a little awkward and soulless (Hopefully I can say that since it was just commissioned from a random person instead of drawn by an anon). I'd enjoy seeing an updated render even if it's not necessarily commemorating a new VB. I'd take a crack at it myself if it was something other people wanted.

that's not true though, sena was drawn in-house by twalam/28lane. on the contrary, i find it charming due to the classic crusty KEI-ism.
if given the opportunity i think a new render done by them would be better in any case, improvement is bound to happen in even 1-2 years time (if they're planning to return with a DS design, that is)

I think it was me, I talked about parallel training. You can train her with Sena's English samples in one folder, then Tori's Japanese in the other folder. You then would delete Toriko as a speaker. It can also be done with public datasets, but you will have to change the TOS (some of them don't allow commercial use of the final product, for example) and would also have to credit them. However If you wanna train more languages that you don't speak this is kind of unavoidable.

You also need to check the labels, some of them have enunu labels, some are not good quality. Ritsu's dataset can only be used to produced a Ritsu model, and I read that GTSinger is bad for all languages except Chinese. You should check in DS dicksword if that's available to you to see what people think about each one.

RVC could be what's causing the noise too, sometimes it overtrains and learns the noise too well. What did you use to clean her samples?
