Are there any decomp/recomp projects for the PJD series yet?
>>
Not that I'm aware of but we'd really benefit from a PC port of X or any of the PS3 games

As cool as a PJD re/decomp would be there's two games that needs it more than the Diva series

Agree
>>
>>31362
How bad does X run on the Vita emulator?
>>
>>31366
>>31355
I'm not exactly against the idea but what's the point of making a recomp of these games exactly when the emulators already run them almost flawlessly?
>>
>>31394
They don't run flawlessly though. Project Diva F and F2nd run well for the most part but start falling apart the moment you uncap the 30fps framerate. Project Diva X has graphical bugs from what I've heard. MTM runs fine on PPSSPP but would really benefit from a PC port (and a port to any other console, since the PJD machine that is the PS3 can't run it). Not sure how well IA/VT runs on the Vita emulator but like Megpoid the Music, it's a console exclusive and someone should free it.
>>
>>31395
Also yes, i'm aware that someone's porting Megpoid the Music songs and 3DPVs to Megamix, but Megamix is not Megpoid the Music. The gameplay is similar but not the same.

Honorable mention

Why did every wholoid have a game during the portable era of playstation
>>
>>31406
The portable era had Japanese devs doing whatever the hell they wanted, there's a shit ton of obscure games based on Japanese media from the era. Your favorite anime from the 2000's and early 2010's probably had a game on the PSP.

It was the decade of the wholoid

Still is

This and also the early 2010s bubble of marketing execs trying to cash in on Vocaloid

The 2010's were wild
>>
>>31447
The Toyota collaboration is nothing compared to what they're doing with Miku nowadays. Check the merch thread to get an idea.
>>
>>31436
I wonder if people in the future will look at this era fondly like they do with V3 which also had a shit ton of wholoids no one cares about
>>
>>31449
I've already seen people say"they gotta stop making more of these" about V6 which is something i haven't seen people say since V3
>>
>>31450
People disliked V3? I understand the hate for V6 despite the fact that i like it but i always considered V3 era to be pretty strong and up there with V2
>>
>>31448
yeah fair enough
>>
I don't think PSP recomps are possible yet, have any games been ported to PC at all?
>>
>>31622
If im not mistaken there was one of GTA Liberty City Stories but i'm unsure whether it was a recomp of the PS2 version or PSP
>>
>>31622
I'm sure we'll get there eventually
This stuff's advancing pretty fast and the demand for console to PC ports is high
>>
The things i'd do for a recomp of the handheld era games
>>
>>31452
V3 back then was criticized for voicebanks sounding too "samey" and indistinguishable from eachother, and the fact that it felt like each month there was a new voicebank which made people feel like there was an oversaturation of voicebanks. And that's without mentioning that a lot of the V3s we know and love today were seen as generic and lacking in personality. You gotta remember that they were just getting out of the V2 era at the time which gave us all the Cryptonloids and is often considered the golden era of Vocaloid.
The V6 era has all those problems.
>>
>>32334
So far the only voicebank that stands out to me from the V6 era without counting the UTAU ports is Hibiki Koto. Who technically is a V6 original but was later ported to SV.
>>
>>32338
Now that you mention it. The V6 era feels a bit lacking in terms of original voicebanks because if you think about it there's a few like Po-uta, Fuiro, Asa and the rest are either ports of existing UTAUs (and yes that counts FAN-ding voicebanks like Rei and Miko) or obscure v-tubers.
>>
>>32339 (Me)
That's not to say i dislike the V6 era btw. I'm grateful for the few originals we do have and the ports. Otobe Sapphire definitely needs more love even if most people hate her company.

>Otobe Sapphire
her voice is cute

GTA Vice City Stories got a recomp recently which means we might not be too far away from a Diva/Megpood recomp
>>

>>33272
>its real
oh shit, we might actually be getting megpoid on pc
>>
>>33272
>>33273
I'm stupid, how does GTA mean we'll get a PC port of Megpoid the Music?
>>
>>33274
It doesn't. It just means that someone found a way to recompile a PSP game to run natively on Windows. And if that's possible it means that a recompilation of Megpoid the Music is also possible. It's only a matter of time before someone attempts it.
>>
>>33275
Also Project Diva
>>
I'd imagine that a decomp of the original Project Diva could possibly imply a PS2 port of the game considering the PSP is close in terms of hardware
>>
The PSP release of Vice City Stories has been fully ported to PC now via recomp. We're one step closer to Megpoid the Music running natively on PC and with the same gameplay style as the original game instead of a MegaMix mod.
>>
>>35515
>fully ported
Yes, but it's still in beta and has a lot of bugs. I wouldn't expect a PC port of Megpoid this year.
>>
any news on this
>>
>>34718
I can assure you that the moment it comes out some guy in South America will find a way to port it
