i tried to take several samples from her voice to put them into RVC so her UTAU jinriki would have a higher quality, however it is difficult to get a working google colab to make it due to google being an idiot. my computer isn't capable to do any local training too.

so, instead i'm opting to enhance some of her samples with the "vocalizer" VST plugin until i find a better solution.

it has worked great so far, and it doesn't sound bad on UTAU. however i'm testing to see if i can correct some of her bugs while using various resamplers, there are some that change the pitch of her voice without setting gender (g) flags.

I came across this Yahoo Answers JP thread where somebody asks the same thing. Apparently she used to make covers under Tonarine Sai and just retired one day. They suspect it's because she found out people had been reuploading her videos to YouTube but take it with a grain of salt since not even the guy who answered seems to know.

It's wild to me that fanloids have become such a thing of the past when years ago they were a big part of the fandom and you even had western vocaloid fans making their own. I think Vimalion is the closest thing we have to that now but i wouldn't call those "fanloids", they're their own thing rather than OCs based off an existing design with specific tuning settings.

the process to make the voicebank is very easy, but it all depends on how busy i am in real life. as it is a CV voicebank, it is easy to configure its oto.ini file. even if weeks or months go by, this jinriki will most likely be released.


i had also considered improving the training of its AI (if i manage to improve it, it will sound different from the sample that was previously sent), since i found a way to train an RVC voicebank for audios with few samples (basically repeating those few samples over and over again)

It feels like a modern take on Shiteyanyo and think its cute that Oyamano Mayo found it so amusing. But every new fanloid feels like its trying to be the next Pearto.

sai anon here. in fact, when i had in mind to improve her AI voice training, i was thinking of using adobe podcast, which i ended up using. it was a bit tricky, as most of the samples ended up sounding strange and muffled. that didn't stop the training, i just left the ones that sounded decent.

and so, in fact, i improved a lot the voice of my dear tonarine sai's utauloid. attached below there is a sample (using a resampler) comparing the original voice with the new one. the new one is really an improvement!

in the end, the voicebank will be CV-VV, i.e. VV contains continuous vowels that imitate those you get in a VCV voice bank. in short, it is a VCV for the laziest. it only makes the vowels sound smoother

I also had the excellent idea of using the recordings of the first Remu I trained (the one I've mentioned before with a deeper voice) and I raised the pitch, apart from using some AVOX throat to give it a softer, even cuter touch and thus with this I ended up training... komorine non! remu's little sister who never had a voice.

the method I use is based on a current method for performing Jinriki voicebanks. this consists of training the same voice samples in RVC format and then generating an audio with them. But, there is a difference in my method, in my case I use Adobe Podcast to improve the samples and I take the ones that sound more like the original. so I create an AI RVC model based on the samples made in Adobe Podcast, and even if they are insufficient, what I do is to loop the samples I have available, so the AI can learn the samples even more.

39chan unfortunately has more lurkers than users these days, even more than back when Sena was being created, and this is evident by the fact that the PPD has been declining since last month. We're getting about 10-20 PPD compared to the 50s, 60s and 70s we were getting not long ago. On a good day we get about 30+ PPD, mostly due to happenings within the community. And assuming they still use the site, we shouldn't go with old voice providers like Sena's and Shinya's either because they have already lent their voice to a character.
Even if we were to have a voice provider willing to work with us. How would we decide which fanloid to "canonize"?
There are billions of fanloid videos on Youtube and who knows how many will be submitted here. Sometimes their creators are also inactive so it's hard to get their consent, though a lot of the time remakes are created without their consent and it seems like they're fine with others rediscovering their old creations (Ichigo Yukaine).

This is probably a producer & cover artist specific question but does anyone else have fanloids they make to voice their OCs or because it reminds you of them? I use Osana's config on Otomachi Una for one (though I haven't made anything for that OC quite yet) and I have another that's fully custom for SF-A2 Miki (and HXVOC but that's a bit different in SynthV)
I have some "deeper voiced" ones for Piko and Yohioloid, but they don't inherently "belong" to a character of mine. I don't mind using them for that in the future though.
