1. i'm not sure, back then i didn't fell for it because i knew about LAT models and stuff, but back then the hispanic side of the vocaloid fandom was very gullible. some people would even think 96neko was a vocaloid

The entire vocaloid community (especially WVF) is gullible and easy to bait honestly, and it somehow still applies to the modern day vocacommunity.

Honestly i can totally see how someone would fall for this. In the 2010s it was pretty hard to find information about the newer vocaloids because most of it was in Japanese and it didn't usually spread as quickly as it does now with Twitter and SNS. On top of that there were so many vocaloids coming out during V3 from so many companies, new and old, that I'm willing to bet no one at the time bothered to even look into the companies behind the vocaloids so you could probably come up with something like "TNTvirtual" and people would think its legit.
There's also the fact that the vocaloid community is mostly kids (especially back then, a lot of them are grown now) so they're more gullible than an adult fan.

That being said though if this thing didnt have its reputation stained by years of controversy i would like to see it return in the form of a diffsinger or a deepvocal.

the project seems to be dead. The project's biggest contributor, animedia (also known as animes25), is embroiled in controversy, this time outside the UTAUloid community.

in latin america, a streaming service called anime onegai was launched for a while. that service was shut down, as was the dubbing studio they operated. animedia was part of that dubbing studio; according to him, he was in charge of audio mastering for some of the anime they dubbed. he wants to take legal action against anime onegai and its former staff, which is why several dubs he was involved in haven't resurfaced on streaming platforms (for example, he did audio mastering on pandora heart's latin american dub by anime onegai, but the official subbed version is only available right now for other platforms), but i don't know much beyond that. most of the reactions i've seen about him in social media, either from the UTAUloid community or the anime community, seem pretty negative. wwwww

it is likely the design is different in case the previous one belongs to animedia.

that guy is already in the professional sphere, even though he was never a professional person to begin with, so if she doesn't have rights to the original design and only to the character's name and identity, that could be a problem. (not to mention that the justice system is a joke in Mexico and in almost all of latin america...)
