Something I don't understand about "へのへのもへじ, is why did they make the じ　a "ji" instead of a し? what's the diacritical mark meant to represent? Is it an ear, or maybe it's blush. It's obvious the し　stroke is meant to be the outline of the head/jaw (and is thus often ommited). Maybe it's just easier to say "henohenomoheji" than "henohenomoheSHI"? I don't get it.
