This is a thread for the collection of Vocaloid related resources, to help newcomers and oldheads alike.

Useful sites to discover new music
VocaDB: A collaborative database of Vocaloid voicebanks, producers, artists, songs, albums, etc. It's constantly being updated everyday.
http://vocadb.net/
/rvr/: Collaborative threads where users post the most recent Vocaloid releases (hence the title "rvr").
No link because you can just search for "/rvr/" in the catalog and find the latest thread there.
VocaNew/VocaPost: Two hashtags on Twitter/X used by producers to promote their most recent releases.
https://x.com/search?q=vocanew&f=live
https://x.com/search?q=vocapost&f=live
The Vocaloid Collection (Vocacolle): A Japanese event which takes place twice a year and invites both newbie and established producers to
https://vocaloid-collection.jp/
Vocagathering: Essentially the western equivalent to Vocacolle, but its held once a year and it is dominated by English producers for the most part.
https://vocagathering.com/
Chart sites: Useful for knowing what's currently trending.
https://vocaloard.injpok.tokyo/en/
https://vocarank.live/en
https://vocarank.ing/en/
https://lvchart.com/en/
39ch(Youtube): The official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/@HatsuneMiku
>>
Useful sites to discover new art
Gelbooru: Probably one of the biggest archives of anime related artwork available on the internet along with Danbooru. Contains 18+ content.
https://gelbooru.com/
Danbooru (Artists Page): Type in your favorite artist's name and find other websites where they post their art
https://danbooru.donmai.us/artists
Pixiv: Japanese art website that's been around for decades. Usually the first place people go to for posting original Vocaloid art.
http://pixiv.net/
>>>/c/: 39chan board for posting "cute" artwork, usually reposted from other websites such as Pixiv. Some artwork might be ecchi but nothing explicit.
Piapro: A website by CFM for posting original Vocaloid content such as artwork, songs, etc.
https://piapro.jp/
>>
VocaNew also works as a hashtag on YouTube, songs with it tend to get higher viewcounts from personal experience
>>
Fan Forums
39chan: You're on it, dummy.
https://39chan.moe/
Utau.Forum (formerly Utaforum): One of the oldest vocal synth forums still up. Mostly UTAU-centric.
http://utau.forum/
VocaVerse Network: Created as a successor to Vocaloid Otaku in 2018. It's one of the biggest Vocaloid forums.
https://vocaverse.network/
/r/Vocaloid: Regardless of your opinions on Reddit as a place, it is one of the most active places for Vocaloid discussion.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Vocaloid/
/r/VocaloidButGood/: Made in response to the former's attitude towards NSFW songs and drama during the Zaako/Rabbit Hole incidents. Somehow it's still very active.
https://www.reddit.com/r/VocaloidButGood/
>>
Legacy Websites
Vocaloid Otaku: The former #1 place for English Vocaloid discussion. Offline but partially archived and it almost feels like a window into early western Vocaloid culture.
http://vocaloidotaku.net/
Mikuchan: An imageboard that tried to do what 39chan did but 10 years earlier. Although it was never as relevant as VO or even VocaVerse, it still has a lot of interesting early 2010's threads and one of its staff members was Riipah, the creator of VocaDB.
https://mikuchan.org/
Mikufan: One of the oldest Vocaloid news websites. Shut down in 2024, but still accessible through the Internet Archive.
http://mikufan.com/
Vocaloidism: Another one of the oldest Vocaloid news websites. Technically still exists but hasn't been updated since 2017.
https://vocaloidism.com/
Vocaloid News Network: Not to be confused with the VocaVerse Network forum. Like Vocaloidism, it still exists, but hasn't been updated since 2021.

Extremely useful thread, OP I would also like to add the following:

>News

Vocal Synth Retailers Resource Blog: Possibly the current most active news blog for vocaloid stuff.
https://vocalsynthretailers.wordpress.com/
Vocasphere: Ditto, albeit more active on Twitter.
https://vocasphere.net/
https://x.com/VocaSphereNews
SynthV News: Twitter account that reports on Synthesizer V news.
https://x.com/SynthVNews
VocaFollower: Originally made as an April Fools prank by some anon on /leek/. Eventually became an actual source of Vocaloid news.
https://bsky.app/profile/vocafollower.bsky.social
>>
>>35283
Almost forgot but
/news/: General vocal-synth news
>>>/leek/news
>>
>>35284
>>35278
are board links broken or was that never a thing here?
>>
>>35285
It was never a feature here due to how vichan works. Again, hopefully that'll change with 2.0. It's coming soon i swear.
>>
>>35283
Adding on to VSR, I might not do news as often these days, but I do actively update the respective lists for buying vocal synths when I get the time. Helpful for those looking to pick up voicebanks.
>>
thanks op
>>
>>35282
I'd add MikuDB to the list of legacy websites. Some of it remains but most of it is dead links now.
>>
>>35295
MikuDB isn't even archived sadly
>>
>>35309
SLSK and surviving 2010's blogs got you covered.
>>
>>35282
Why did the last two stop getting updated?
>>
Overseas UTAU should probably be added to the legacy websites. You can no longer use it but the site itself is still up.
https://overseasutau.forumotion.net/
>>
I think the links in here should complied into a website or rentry and be linked on the homepage
>>
>>35882
I can do that
