Not to my knowledge. You could still play those charts in practice mode since the PVs don't show there. Shitty solution, but at least you can experience the song and chart there even if you can't register a score

fixes the resolution bug (vanilla game has a bug where if you set a resolution and then use the customization tab it sets you back to a higher res) and also lets you make the res as small as you want. other than that im not sure. if you use dicksword try setting the priority of diva over it in the task manager, i heard that helps some.

If you want to get the arcade experience at home, then they're great. It won't make you better at playing compared to pad, and it's in fact harder to play on them since you don't have macros, but it is the intended way to play the game. I have both the Zhousensor and Hori controllers, and overall the Zhousensor is the better controller, though it's loud as fuck and the slide pad doesn't actually work like the arcades, it is actually pressing the set buttons over and over again while you slide, so it still counts as you inputting something for a few moments after you stop, where as the real slider stops the second you stop sliding/let go. The Hori controller's slider is arcade accurate, but the buttons are trash for high level play because of the switches that do not activate well if they are hit from any angle other than straight on, thus making holds hard to maintain while hitting other buttons with the same hand.

I started on the vita then PS3 controller, but ultimately found the PS4 controller to be a bit more rigid. Easy to set up on Steam, or emulators with the DS4 Windows program.

I don't believe theres any PS4 emulator, so you'll have to go with Vita3k. It's a very good experience, but if you're running on low end hardware, you may experience graphical bugs, which can be fixed by restarting the game.

Grabbed a Switch 2 today and took MM for a spin. The larger joycon buttons make a big difference but the asymmetry of the buttons/joysticks still makes it awkward. Bumpers are easy to accidentally press since they wrap around the sides now.
Comfy as hell though, just won't be tackling overly intense songs.

I'm practicing Happiness Committee right now. Played through the song until I found sections I want to improve on, which ended up being around 2:08 and 3:14. So I set the marker there and just repeat those sections for several minutes each

Picked up some replacement rubber pads for inside my DS4 controller, the buttons are much more rigid now. And that got me thinking; keyboard players, are you picky with your hardware, do you use a mechanical keyboard with a specific switch type?

The dpad on the Xbox controllers look abysmal for playing rhythm games. I'm obviously biased, but if you're going to play long term I'd say it's definitely worth it to get a DS4. The buttons are nice and spaced out and symmetrical to the dpad, which also has more separation compared to the XB.
You can also get a third-party dpad from eXtremeRate that has split buttons so you'll never get unwanted inputs from neighboring directions (every controller I've had has had that issue with one direction).
Replacement conductive pads are also cheap and easy to install in case you abuse the hell out of them like I do.

I bought the Extra AV Out card for my OSSC Pro so I could output stuff onto my PC CRT (ViewSonic A70). Tried it with F2nd running on my PS3 and oh my god it looks so good.

The scanlines are artificial but are pretty convincing at emulating a PVM-like look.

As far as i know there's no real way to get rid of Denuvo but this mod reduces the stutters a little

Just Project Diva. I dislike Sekai's controls and gameplay, and their tuning of the Vocaloids is awful. I find Diva more fun and the 3DPVs never get old to me.

I’ve never played PJD on a keyboard so can’t say, but from other rhythm games, I’d imagine the buttons are a bit less precise. Although they are fun since they’re tactile. To do the left/right arrow thingies, you slide your fingers above the buttons, and that adds some extra charm to the charts that have them.

DIVA, 2nd and Extend are perfectly playable albeit with minor issues and the DLC is completely unplayable. As for Megpoid the Music it's not on the compatibility list and it seems no one has tried it. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I tried mapping DF/JK on the keyboard to be laid out like the arcade buttons. Pretty comfortable way to play, and you get the benefit of the mapping being laid out intuitively vs. controller.
