i saw a post on kissu about an obscure interview someone found that apparently features the developers of vocaloid. i think it's from the same guy who posts about his remake of vocaloid 2. i'm posting it here since 39 doesn't seem to be in the rotation of boards he posts to. and i don't think he's come here despite many people asking him to.

>Interview with the creator of the VOCALOID software
>Hello, I was looking around the internet recently, and I stumbled onto this episode of a TV show in 2012 wherein the creator of the VOCALOID software interviewed. It was only available on this rather obscure streaming service. I am reposting it for interest, so it is really a copyright infringement. But I doubt anyone is likely to care. Besides, the service was free to use; you just had to register.
>The show is about interviews with various entrepreneurs and inventors. In this episode, there was multiple segments, so I have cut out just the VOCALOID segment. I couldn't figure out how to get the subtitles, so I have used a software called OpenAI Whisper to transcribe and translate them.
>Actually I forgot to mention this as well. There's also this short talk available as unlisted video on YouTube as well, from 2019: https://youtube.com/watch?v=t2ZcSluABKY
>There's several other talks you can find as well, but they are much less about the VOCALOID software and much more technical
>One thing I find quite weird is that he uses the term "Spectral Peak Scaling" instead of Spectral Peak Processing. Perhaps this is a mistake, or perhaps he is referring to https://patents.google.com/patent/US7490035B2/en, but I don't believe I have seen that exact term used elsewhere.
