Legend says she’s singing in a voice changer for gamers now.

Rest in pocaloid

she's not

So i guess this is the end for the spanish vocaloid scene?

>>13834
It is a legend after all

Not even. The spanish side of the community stopped caring about the voctro vocaloids by 2015 and since japanese and spanish are phonetically similar they've been using japanese vocaloids since. But if you mean Vocaloid specifically made with the Spanish language in mind then yeah Maika will probably be the last.

>>13838
the voctro vocaloids were also always unpopular. they never took off the same way tianyi did in china.

clara and bruno's fanbase was carried almost entirely by shippers and once those stopped caring about them they faded into obscurity, and maika despite being the most popular of them was still never used very much. then in the late 2010's other vocalsynth engines took off and pretty much every vocaloid from the V3 era and before was forgotten.

>>13839
You're forgetting the part where the spanish fandom absolutely hated Bruno and Clara on release because they didn't look like anime characters

as a member of the spanish-speaking fandom, we didn't deserve them. at first, latin americans gave spanish vocaloids a very poor reception due to their heavy iberian accent, and even worse with bruno and clara, because many people didn't like their early art. there was even some in-fighting between spanish people and latin american people. bruno, clara, and maika were high-quality voices, but in the end, only maika became the most appreciated, and rightly so, due to her abilities and how big her voicebank is (damn, seven pitches instead of three!)

luan and lucia did not deserve to die during development. well, maybe luan did, because akuo, luan's provider (not to be confused with akuP), is a shitty person. maybe if they had changed him, it would have been better.

on a more positive note, VOCTRO's vocaloids are the best that have been created for the V3 engine, with flexible and easy-to-use voices, as well as a unique tone and excellent recording quality. I hope that one day the spanish language will return for V6, considering that it already exists for SV

maika has the best design out of all of them tbh

To be fair doesn't Latin America have multiple accents? I'm not surprised they went with a Spain accent

>>13866
There's "neutral spanish" which is pretty much just mexican spanish but without all the slang. It's what you hear in spanish dubs of tv shows regardless of the country they were dubbed in.

this one was one of her earliest songs, i can remember even an argentine cosplayer sang it on an american idol-like reality show, lol. sadly i can't find it anymore but it was such a huge meme during the hispanic community in 2015, mostly in facebook.

what the fuck

Okay this is weird. Clara and Bruno are discontinued, then Maika gets discontinued 2 years later out of nowhere. But now it turns out that she's not discontinued and Yamaha just temporarily pulled her from sale due to "maintenance"?

What's going on here?

>>14020

Maika did tho. She was popular in both Spain and Latin America.
Its Bruno and Clara that flopped.
