Do you think it will come out some day?
>>
i've got that optimistic side that thinks it will but idk, the current team got fucked over massively and it sucks. i hope that if maghni does crash and burn they are at least able to release their voicebanks on a different engine.
>>
>>10610
>if maghni does crash and burn
I believe Vocatone still owns the rights to both VBs and characters so even if the project fell apart they could still do something with them
>>
>>10609
i hope so, but it's starting to seem unlikely. at the very least, i hope their progress becomes open source or something like that.

We're gonna get Maghni AI before a new Lily voicebank lol

There's also a bunch of non-Vocatone voicebanks, no idea what's happening with those. I think the engine devs have SAWTOWNE's voicebanks at least?

I admittedly care more about the Zero-G 'loids than the PFX ones but I've already accepted that they will never be upgraded. They had a chance with Sonika in 2018 but Yamaha did a Yamaha and ZG said fuck it no more vocaloids.

My question is: if Maghni AI fails does that mean it's officially over for English vocaloids? SynthV ones like Natalie and Solaria are not a concert since they're recent and still supported but in the case of pretty much every Zero-G loid and (in the chance Maghni is cancelled) PFXloids, are they forever stuck on those obsolete engines?

Why

e3f5fc69c1….jpg - 67.99 KB (736x736) Download SauceNAO IQDB Yandex
>>13762
First of all: we're a niche imageboard for vocaloid fans. Yes, we are active but we're not nearly as big or relevant as 2chan or even 4chan are. It's highly unlikely that Japanese companies would even be willing to reach out to loser gaijins like us for a voicebank, and with Vox Soft being indie I don't think they'd be able to afford all the shit you need to have your own voicebank on an engine.

As for the only English engine out there: I doubt the Maghni AI devs would be willing to associate with a site with similar culture to 4chan. We have a tendency to not give a shit about things the western Vocaloid community considers sacred: that's why KAFU SV got leaked here, that's why we have a piracy discussion thread, that's why people here aren't ashamed of saying they like Shota Shota Island. And I know not everyone here has the same views on those things, 39chan isn't a collective mindset. But cmon do you really think any western producer or company would be willing to work with a website that's seen as "4chan but vocaloid"?.
>>
>>13763
>We have a tendency to not give a shit about things the western Vocaloid community considers sacred
Is it really any different on 2chan? Don't they have a board for piracy?
>>
>>13765
he's not talking about the Japanese websites.

he's referring to how people here don't care about what the wvf thinks because everyone here is anon and can say whatever the hell they want.
>>
also i don't think the community is dumb enough to think that 39chan is a group of people with the same thoughts and values. besides it has been recognized by a couple notable individuals in it.
>>
>>13761
>>13763
Personally I'm glad we don't have any leekas on commercial engines and that they aren't mainstream. The Teto-ification of TORIKO would have disastrous consequences on both this website and the overall Vocaloid community. I want the leeaks to still belong to us.
>>
>>13768
The diff is good enough methinks
>>
7bbe20143a….png - 237.17 KB (800x800) Download SauceNAO IQDB Yandex
>>13761
Not as things stand currently, but it took Teto over a decade to go commercial. Times change and it really boils down to the persistence of the fans and the creators in my opinion. I don't think we'll be seeing that with a leekaloid as long as the forum remains niche but I don't find it impossible to conceive of.
>>
>>13785
I highly doubt we'll ever see leekas on commercial engines for the reasons this anon listed here >>13763

The Japanese community barely knows we exist, the single "studio" to come out of this board is indie and broke, and the Western community probably sees this site as nazi Germany given the ties to 4chan.
>>
>>13904
Lol no. I can assure you that the majority of the western community that knows about 39chan doesn't care about it. The site's not big enough to have a reputation like that and the ties to 4chan you mention are very minor.

Your fortune: Bad Luck
>>
>>13904
Ah yes because 2ch definitely has a squeaky clean reputation

Leekaloid talk aside should we expect any updates on the project this year? Last year was a bit rough with all the stuff that happened to Maghni's dev team. I really want to see the project be finished and become successful.
>>
>>13915
I do predict that something will happen this year but it won't be the engine's release. I don't think we're gonna see that til the end of the 2020s with some sort of beta launching before the final version.

I get the feeling that Maghni AI will either be a big win for the English Vocaloid community or one of the biggest failures depending on whether it actually delivers what it promised or not. That being said though i'll continue looking forward to Ann/Al's AI voicebanks.

>>
>>24559
Tbh I fully expect this to happen.

>>24595
No, PowerFX would have the power to do that, and as we know PFX is out of the business.

>>24637
Crypton, 1st Place, anyone on VoiSona with a physical, Voicemith, and a handful of others on V6. So it’s 100% related to the lack of disc drives. That said some of the companies at least include merchandise to make up for the lack of disc like VoiSona. Then of course you have the SV2 physicals that have a disc but are pointless to begin with because you have to download the bank from the cloud in editor anyways.
>>
>>24641
They should do what they did with the PS3 port of Portal 2 where it included a disc for your PS3 and a code so you could have it on Steam as well.
>>
>>24642
This is basically the case for some physicals with discs these days. If you reach out to support as well, usually they’re happy to send the respective installer as well. So it’s possible to get away with not using the disc at all before factoring in fan managed archives. Basically these days it’s more about having a physical backup more than anything.

I had to go look myself and see what you mean. The domain is indeed expired. Vrilliant was assumed who’d be handling Ann and Al too.

I’m not entirely certain what happened here. I do have a few ideas ranging from simply not renewing the domain to a company shut down but after the announcement I’d be surprised that they didn’t leave a statement.

There is one particular thing I am aware of that could very well be a factor, however I’m not sure if I should divulge…

At the rate things are deteriorating I am actually praying this project gets cancelled… It feels like every bit of new information that surfaces, public or not, just screams worse than hell.

>>24873
The dev team/company (not sure if registered as one), in charge of the Maghni version of Ruby aka Rvby.
>>
I am very much at odds with myself because on one hand I do feel it’s important that people know as it’s becoming more and more relevant as time progresses but also I don’t want to get friends who are dear to me in trouble.

It is really tearing me apart, so if there is anyone on the Maghni team reading this (and I hope one of them are reading this), please come forward and share all the problems behind the scenes that are halting further developments, updates, and keeping everyone silent. I really can’t take this anymore and it’s driving me crazy and tearing me apart. It went from too much transparency to none at all. It’s been almost 6 years, it’s time for the veil to break. I am on my knees…🙏😓
>>
>>24875
I don't think a Maghni employee would go on 39chan of all places. Though at the same time if they did they could possibly get away with spilling the beans since a lot of "important" people use 4chan in similar ways, to reveal confidential stuff and leak source codes, etc. It's be a matter of choosing to believe the anon or not.
>>

I feel bad for Rubybros
>>
>>24877
Idk if any of them would be here or not, all I can say is a good handful of these people have been fans as long as me but partook in older fandom spaces like VO.

It’s also like, I know very well that some vsynth devs (globally, not specifically western) actually do lurk a lot more fandom spaces than we often realize. So it’s more an off-chance and sort of vent type thing. I’m just tired…
>>
>>24910
I feel like 39chan's a bit niche for it to be noticed by the big names but the creator of Neru himself is a frequent poster here so idk, I could be wrong.
>>
>>24879
I wouldn’t say 5. It is still a small team. Idk how many are currently part of the team and who’s left for sure and who’s stayed on, but the number of people actively working keeps changing. So there is a chance that if a team member were to come forward it could be someone who isn’t publicly known and only the team could narrow it down.

It’s pretty easy to tell a majority of the issues boils down to poor management just from a surface level perspective. I can’t say which people have left, but there have been public faces that have left according to my own reliable sources. I don’t remember if it was mentioned in this thread before by myself or someone else but I recall back in October when people started getting vocal about things, that some people who were previously commissioned by the team stated the programmer (who I believe is still listed on the site) left the company.
>>
>>24912
It's not as obscure and niche as some people here make it seem. A small part of the western fandom is already aware of the Leekaloids even if they don't post here (similar to how we know the Vipperloids but don't post on 2ch). Hioka has also done two Q&As here which has made the site more "visible" in a way.
Besides 39chan doesn't have the same rep as other imageboards like 4chan where it's generally seen as this evil hideout for nazis and fappers so it's probably more accessible to people who normally don't use these types of sites.
>>
>>24914
I learned about 39 after I heard about Canon mentioning recording naked in that one q&a and after I lurked as an anon for a good while I got the vibe that we were all old coots in terms of vocafans who just wanted a comfy place to properly converse about our favourite subject. That alone is much more attractive than some other spaces these days.
>>

I do apologize for my vagueness.

I will offer a bit more information. In regard to what I have said regarding embezzlement, there is a chance that the respective parties are not being entirely honest about why their programmer left. The claim I have received implies that the original programmer did not simply leave by choice or as a result of completed contract, but because he was being deported. Of course I am not sure how honest they are, but frankly when it comes to Maghni it feels like there’s lies everywhere, but they implicate the money went to trying to keep him in the country rather than towards finishing the project.

I'm glad we all agree that this is fucked up

>>
I feel bad for Vocatart, he was basically a kid when getting involved with all of this, and it's nice he's sharing their code, though I'm not sure what anyone can do with it lol
>>
At this point Maghni AI feels like the Postal 3 of Vocalsynths. Overambitious, switched teams like 2 or 3 times and will most likely release in a bad state.
>>
Natalia made a statement. I’ll link directly to the doc. It clears up a lot of what my informant told me yesterday, especially with the deportation matter and supposed embezzlement. Most importantly, she has stated the amount of money she personally invested into the project. Over $200k before the deportation matter and more after the crowdfund payment.

Not reading a Xitterdoc
What does this mean for Maghni AI as a whole?
>>
>>30471
This is extremely cursed.
>>30472
It seems like the one guy programming it was a college student who ghosted everyone so it’s probably fucked.
>>
>>30471
Safe to say the project is fucked
>>
At this point wouldn’t it be better to, like, take the rights for the Engloid characters/their voice samples and train them for an existing engine? Sure it would remove any possibility of profit off a novel voice engine, but that’s the part that’s really fucked, and I’m not convinced there’s much value there, even compared to free/open source engines.

>>30472
Like others stated, the project is essentially fucked. I can’t say what exactly will happen with the current team but there’s a lot that Austin and VocaTone has to speak for.

Right now it seems both the current team and Backers will need to put pressure on him to respond and hopefully get people their money back, even if he has nothing.
>>
It's so oliover
>>
I don't really like the new Oliver voicebank. It sounds too American when Oli is canonically a Brit. So i don't mind that we're not getting it but it does suck for the other PFXloids.
>>
It’s deeply unfortunate since I think if they had done a dual DS/Vocaloid release or even SynthV or something they would’ve been better off, both financially and honestly in terms of usability.

I wish there was much developed in terms of technology for British English vocals in general too considering you basically need to change a bunch of phonemes for certain sound pronunciations for it to sound like the proper accent (Based on my own attempts with making an English UTAU while having a British accent anyways). I would love a new British sounding VB in the big '26 in general.

Another statement from one of the people who did videos for them.

Sorry, it is a Xitter link. I think we're probably gonna see a lot more statements.

The bulk is more information linking the IndieGoGo campaign to the old programmer being deported and apparently, RVC was used for one of Oliver's demo videos.

It is literally just this.

My biggest upset is that now it’s actually becoming a matter of pointing fingers rather than actually finding a solution. Crescendia still has a Q&A on the way so there’s still more to come.

Austin stepping down does not absolve him of responsibilities, and he’s still the one who has all the packages as well so if he steps down he needs to remain in constant contact with Crossy to coordinate.

I hope Crossy can communicate a plan that allows for refunds because this is getting to a point where a solution isn’t actually being made, but avoided.

Realistically what is stopping them from making a SynthV?
>>
>>30782
I would have gladly accepted an Oliver SynthV. If my memory is correct it takes $50,000 in order to get the license to make one, so really, it is confusing why they crowdfunded a new engine and not a new voicebank of choice, then went back and made some other SynthV banks if they had the rights to do so and the funds. Eclipsed Sounds managed to pull it off.
>>
>>30786
Because they wanted to make their own engine with blackjack and hookers.
>>
Another day, another lengthy blogpost
This has to be the biggest disaster I've seen in this community since Stella, and Stella was already pretty bad but not to this extent

They really should’ve made this move when they learned the programmer was set to be deported. Maybe there are licensing issues involved but frankly I think it’s the best outcome, maybe even better than having the Engloids on their own special synth

Gonna take a moment to add on. I have been communicating with Natalia and in the event I need additional information for a case, I am able to access it.

I won’t delve into my own thoughts rn, still pretty furious, but yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if VocaTone closes shop from this. Whatever they try to do at this point, they are legally fucked.

That’s the sum of the news from my end that I can offer atm. This is the best statement we have so far.
>>
>>30845
At this point i don't even know who to trust and i'm gonna keep it that way until either party just says "Maghni AI is done" or "Maghni AI is still being worked on"

It would be for the best if development ceased and they issued refunds, honestly, because this situation just keeps getting worse and worse for everybody involved and it's also a legal nightmare
>>
>>30845
Ideally any refunds would have been processed before people invested $200k of personal funds. I wouldn’t imagine there’s any money left to refund with.
>>
>>30848
Ye, I get that. Crescendia has confirmed they will still be working on it but at this rate I would not be surprised if some banks get scrapped and there’s a full rebrand. Legally it is on VocaTone to issue the refund as they are the main company attached to the project. Even with all this information though, it’s been a shit fest and hard to follow. I don’t blame you for just waiting for a conclusion to be reached.

>>30851
The $200k that was spent was spent before the crowdfund started so I believe you might have gotten the timeline confused. However they come up with the funds doesn’t really matter as long as backers get refunded. I understand there’s a lot of people saying they likely don’t have the money anymore but even then they are still liable. If by comparison another company can offer refunds, then they can come up with an actual plan. Either way, the current case being built will be against VocaTone if they don’t payout.

>>30252

Tmk they’re all new characters outside of Ann and Al, though I think one of them might have been an existing Utau. Can’t remember the name tho. This is all just guess work. I believe the vocals from AltVox are still on record to be developed at some point. I’d need to check the q and a again.

I don't think the identity of the voice provider was ever actually found but I remember the Maghni team confirming that the new Oliver wasn't voiced by a child years ago on Twitter if not Youtube.
>>
>>33095
>>33096
Early on, back in 2020, people found a comment from VocaTone that was only a few days old at the time, on a YouTube video of someone doing their impression of Oliver.

Unfortunately I’m struggling to find the video now, but they’re on occasion referred to as “OliVA”. Of course the original V3 VP is anonymous since they were an actual child but supposedly they did professional voiceover according to a dl VocaTone staff.
>>
>>33097
Finally found something shortly after posting this lol, according to reddit they scrubbed their online presence in 2024. That explains why I couldn’t find the video in question.

Idk. Id have more hope if i didnt know the current team basically RVC fabricated the Oliver demos because the actual results were "unsatisfactory". Out of all the maghnis I think Ruby is the one i'm looking forward to the most. I've been wanting a new Ruby voicebank ever since i heard the Diffsinger.
>>
>>34125
Considering Ruby's voice provider most likely lurks this site (especially after Sora mentioned it to her). In the off chance you see this, is there an actual reason why the DS hasn't been released? Copyright, licensing?
>>
>>34129
I'm not her but it's most certainly the licensing and the fact that the DiffSinger was trained on data from the Vocaloid era, or at least that's what i've heard
>>
>>34131
It's this
>>
>>34129
It's definitely the licensing. I assume she could get away with re-recording her and releasing her under a different name though. But at that point it wouldn't be Ruby, yk.
>>
>>34724
It's a bit more complicated. like >>34131 said, she was trained using the V4 data, making things tricky to begin with but the licensing is funny. To my understanding, Misha and Syo should have the full rights, but there are some other things behind the scenes that could complicate things, and that's before the mess everyone is already in with each other.

I think I mentioned before how Bil is still lurking around in another thread. Long story short, there's a chance everyone may have been scammed behind the scenes for character IP rights because someone thought reaching out to Bil would be a good idea despite Bil having no power to give them the rights.

I originally wasn't going to say it, but yeah. Even if they got Maghni off the ground, there was always a chance they could get sued because of Bil's surprise involvement.
>>
>>34732
If y'all do want a bit more info on how I managed to get this, I'm happy to share as much as I can, but I think this explains the matter enough.

I mean, its harsh but on the other hand they owe a LOT of people a LOT of money. Not only that, they did not use the money for its intended purpose, and those funds didnt go towards development. The current engine being developed isnt the same engine as the one created initially by Barham, at least not entirely. That, and they're not doing Oliver AI anymore. I think the fact that they're not currently in court is quite merciful.
>>
>>36236

>>
>>36231
It’s more like a promise of recourse rather than a threat. Also like, I’m not scared of them, especially since they’re breaking multiple laws atp.

The thing is, I’m more worried that they’re still not going to issue refunds even if court ordered. When Natalia was duking it out with her lawyer at her side, he basically admitted he wouldn’t. So that’s kind of how well I expect things to go. Rule in favour of backers but Austin and VocaTone would still run away. Not to mention Barham seems intent on keeping the stolen equipment despite it being company property.
>>
>>36232
Love this btw. Lmao
>>
>>36308
So what happens if Austin wont pay? Will the bill be passed to someone else? I would imagine that if someone is liable for funds, such a person wouldnt have a choice BUT to pay if ordered by court. But if he cant pay then whos footing the bill?
>>
>>36313
This I can't exactly answer. Technically, Natalia isn't responsible for the bill since she's legally exited. The new team isn't either. Basically, it's all VocaTone and whoever is registered as still working at the company. Which means unless there's people registered that we don't know about, only Austin and possibly Crossy are the only people who can be held legally responsible, and if they can't pay, because of all the laws broken and the fact they'd be refusing to comply means someone could end up behind bars as a result. No clue if that would actually happen, but as far as I'm aware, refusal to comply can at least accrue fines.

Honestly, he's proven already he's happy to pay more to not refund people when refunding people would literally be cheaper atp, so I say let him run; he's gonna go broke if he keeps things up.
>>
>>35913
VoiSona got Bennett so I wonder if there's any chance of getting a voicebank there.
>>
>>36322
Depends on if the current team want to drop recent developments. I know in regard to Bennett, VoCreatures had been speaking with Chorical about connecting them with Techno-Speech.
>>
>>36315
Crossy said on bluesky that there's a third person in charge of wrapping up VocaTone's operations now that everyone originally involved has stepped down
>>
>>36322
I think that's up to the people that own the respective voicebanks. For Toriko and Sena you'd have to get in contact with Vox Software and as far as I know, they're not in contact with any voicebank development companies. As for Shinya, Ena and Suiren they have no managers so it'd be a lot harder.
>>
>>36343
For what reason do they all not just live under the Vox Software family anyway? I never fully understood what separated Vox Software as an entity from Team 39Chan
>>
>>36345
Toriko and Sena are under VS because we were able to get in contact with the people that made them
>>
>>36343
Technically they could get them on ACE. The thing is, do they want to?.
>>36345
Management groups are not a new thing. Ruko has LongSleeper, Teto has Twindrill, etc. In most cases these groups are a single person rather than multiple people.
>>
>>36420
Also Team39 is just the owners, admins, mods, devs, etc of 39chan. That's like asking why 2channel doesn't own the VIPPERloids.
>>
>>36420
No western company or voicebank developer wants to associate with ACE.
>>
I wish any of the Gen 1 would get a commercial voicebank or even a new voicebank on the original engine. At least we got that new Shinya.
>>
>>36426
I'd rather Ena or Sena got a new voicebank
>>
>>36421
To be fair, 39chan is a smaller site, and the download page for the loids is one of the first things you see when you open the site. It's not technically unreasonable to imagine things might've been more intimately managed
>>
>>36420
Having them on ACE is basically a death sentence. No one will use them.
>>
>>36426
Same, especially Sena
Toriko doesnt need to be on a commercial engine, she just needs new singing modes / languages
>>
>>36420
>>36431
I wouldn’t say it’s a death sentence as long as an alternative remains offered which one is, but given how controversial the engine is, it would definitely stain the reputation a little. I know I personally am more forgiving when it comes to third parties and old Utau favourites going onto the engine. Especially since the Utau banks especially are typically offered by Juxer.
>>
>>36434
Agreed. She already sounds close to Synth V quality, especially in TuneLab Q which tunes her automatically and adds vibrato.
Is anything known about 1.3's status?.

Actually Sweet Ann is just a PowerFX Vocaloid. VocaTone only has the rights to Oliver and Yohioloid. I dont know if they own Ruby. Probably not. But they would not need to work with VT to redo Ann or Al.

>>36663
I think its very likely its gonna be Sonika. I think if (when) it happens we need like some sort of special GIF on the thread or maybe even the site. The hopium is real
>>
>>36673
There's no way it's Sonika
>>
>>36675
We've already established that it isn't Ruby because she's directly mentioned in the post. One of the returning voicebanks is allegedly Ann, though I'm not sure if this is TD making stuff up or its been 100% confirmed, but let's assume that it is.
It can't be Daina, because releasing Daina without Dex is like releasing Ann without AL, and the same applies to Leon and Lola. Cyber Diva and Songman are owned by Yamaha and I highly doubt they'd ever let them escape the VOCALOID engine.

That leaves us with: MIRIAM, Prima, Sonika and Avanna. Zero-G has already proven that they have no interest in updating MIRIAM or Prima. And we already know that a Sonika V4 was in the works before Yamaha released V5. So it's either Sonika or Avanna.
>>
>>36677
I want to believe
>>
>>36675
I mean, we've got 3 returning female voicebanks. If one of them is confirmed to be Ann, that means that the only other ones it could be are:
-Sonika
-Prima
-Avanna
-Lola
-Miriam

Its not Ruby, she's already confirmed. Its unlikely to be Lola or Prima because they're counterpart vocals and it would be weird to only remake one and not the male counterpart, and we only have 1 returning male vocal.

Meaning the most likely gals are Sonika, Avanna, and Miriam. Miriam said she would be willing to do an update, and Sonika was popular ENOUGH to where ZG was at least WILLING at one point to do a remake of her. Plus out of the three, shes the most relevant. (unless you count the fact that Avanna has a lot of clout among nonfandom producers or at least used to)

The likeliness ranking is:
-Sonika
-Miriam
-Avanna

Ann, Al, and Ruby were all alluded too on the Maghni AI crowdfund page. Ruby was only officially confirmed later on but I’m not actually sure if they have rights to Ann or AL because supposedly they’re in contact with Bil and not PFX

For reference.

I can’t say anything about if they actually have rights to Ann and Al but I’m assuming Bil’s potential involvement might be why they’re purposefully going unnamed rn.
>>
>>36679
Gonna be real with you, I have no clue if zero-g is involved atp. There’s still a good chance they pulled out. But there’s no way of knowing until it actually happens.

What I do know is that they were reaching out to Japanese companies at the time as well so the pool could be bigger than it seems, I just have no idea how big.
>>
>>36684
macne nana....
>>
>>36684
Most old Japanese voicebanks have companies that are active though. The only exception being Piko, but he's a male vocal.

If Zero-G isnt involved then i genuinely have no idea who it could be because Voctro is MIA, SBS is incredibly unlikely, and theres no chance YAMAHA is handing over their two main guys. Both of PFX's female vocals are already confirmed.

Which would tell me that either:
-Zero-G isnt involved, but they're prematurely declaring that theyre going to remake the voices directly because i dont know

-They're going to make spiritual successors to the voicebanks that dont actually use any trademarked names, they're complete reboots of the characters

-Zero-G, somehow, looked at all the bullshit that happened and said "yeah. we'll trust those guys". I know its a new team and said new team is trustworthy, but they dropped YAMAHA for much less.
>>
>>36687
It could be a voicebank from another engine that isn't Vocaloid but at the same time i can't think of any relevant Engloids outside Vocaloid. There's Eleanor but she's already getting a SV2.
>>
>>36689
It's most certainly a Vocaloid voicebank for the fact that there's no reason to put a SV on another AI engine that will probably sound the same in terms of quality if not slightly worse. I guess UTAU and Alter/Ego are the two other possibilities but no one's gonna be excited over a Whotau unless it's an old favorite like Aiko. As for Alter/Ego, does anybody even care for that engine?.

SONiKA has been getting some love recently and there was even a collab album so people have been buying her voicebank, which means that the demand exists and Zero-G has probably noticed. Besides Zero-G had plans to upgrade her to V4 before. Realistically the only other possibility is Avanna because Aki Glancy and Rachel are still active and Zero-G doesn't seem to care much about MIRIAM. But I'm 99% sure that the returning voice is our girl.
>>
>>36690
Aiko is already on Mikoto Studio anyway and I can't think of another "old favorite"

Your fortune: Very Bad Luck
>>
>>36690
There was a point where they confirmed an update for a random UTAU voicebank (and no one cared), might have been a backer bonus though

Too late, now we know who's coming to nChant
>>
>>36700
Honestly I think it’s more so that contracts aren’t final because the software isn’t out yet. Boring business stuff.

Especially since they signed on for Maghni AI, not nChant.
>>
>>36691
/leek/ is responsible for the fansite existing and the fansite is responsible for the collab album existing. So if the collab album and Sonika's sales going up is what made Zero-G get back in the game it'd be a crazy domino effect.
>>
You guys have an alarming amount of faith in the group that produced Zombie Oliver
>>
>>36704
I have no faith in this project, I'm just coping
>>
>>36704
I don't think any of us have much faith in nChant. We're just happy about the small possibilty of SONiKA being upgraded after what happened with V5.

>>36704
It's delusion not faith

thread's probably hitting bump limit soon

To the nChant employee that's possibly lurking this thread (I know insiders lurk this site) can you leak the upcoming voicebanks thank you

A dev said this on the Vocaverse forums
>>
Sonikaposting aside, I feel like their rep is very stained at this point and I highly doubt a rebrand will save them. If they want to rebuild trust they gotta deliver something.
>>
>>36715
>oliver death metal voicebank
>>
>>36702
So my first guess was right. They prematurely soft announced they had something they didnt actually legally have. Yeesh.
>>
>>36711
We can make a second thread with the new nChant name then when we hit it. Would be the perfect time to.

>>36719
Nana’s owned by MI7 Japan. Being honest she’ll more likely end up on SynthV if she returns.

>>36722
Good to know. I did see tart in the server but yeah, that makes sense.

>>36827
Somewhat. The stuff with Ann and Al are a bit more interesting but I’m hoping they since actually got their licenses since Bil was supposedly involved and they realized he wasn’t authorized to give them those permissions.

I love Maiko's voicebank but I hate that absolutely no one uses it for her intended genre which is screamo. The results are often disastrous, especially with covers.

I feel the same way
>>
>>36922
Austria has to have some kind of record for "longest upcoming vocal synth that never actually happened but theoretically existed"

I know there's Hibiki Lui but those guys were canceled shortly after being announced. Ausgris has been a publicly announced voicebank since like 2014ish. And is just now being soft cancelled.
>>
Sameposting. Fucking tablet and its autocorrect. I am obviously talking about Ausgris.
>>
>>36948
>Austria
They got a whole country to voice a synth? lmao

Also Hibiki Lui never "existed" beyond his artwork.
>>
>>36957
Still sad about Lui
>>
>>36948
I liked vocaloid augris more than aurum. his new voice just did not hit for me
>>
>>36922
>>36929
They’re coming to nChant as their rights have been legally transferred however they are indefinitely delayed as a result.

Additionally it seems backers who paid for boxes are no longer getting boxes? I’m not sure if it’s just one person or if it’ll become a pattern but someone did recently receive their goods but they were supposed to get a box but never got it. I’m gonna keep an eye on that if it does happen again but I saw it while scrolling on twt.
>>
>>36986
I guess the empty Oliver box is now a rare collector's item
>>
>>36965
They got recasted? I didn't even realize
>>
>>36988
Oh. Damn where did I hear that? It was so long ago I could be wrong. Take it as a maybe he was recasted. I swore VT said it themselves somewhere.
>>
>>36990
Sorry I keep deleting my post, I just don't want to get things wrong even though I'm anon. Here's what I think happened during the Augris to Aurum switch:

Zoku (original Augris) dropped out after the vocaloid project was going nowhere, and so a friend of his Caustic aka caustic's lackluster fumbling aka Jeremy LIKELY replaced him.

You be the judge, but they were all in the same friend group during the time VT was developing Augris.

>>
Do they plan on releasing demos for nChant?
>>
>>36994
It was Austin as the replacement then it changed to Denev who quit before even recording anything tmk.

Admittedly I was told it was supposedly Austin's cousin years back when I was reached out to for advice but knowing what Austin sounds like from the old Q&A sessions and comparing to the VP samples they shared at the time, it's literally just Austin.
>>
>>37004
Sageing this bit but also around this time people getting involved at this point in time all developed close friendships, including Denev. I know myself and friends started to feel iffy about the direction as it was becoming too personal and not business.
>>
>>37004
<literally Chii Tomero AI
>>
>>37004
Oh. That's kinda funny. I want Aurum even less now
>>
>>37006
>>37022
this is ridiculous. i have nothing against using the same voice provider in a different engine, but in this case, it feels boring... especially knowing what austin is like.
>>
>>37025
Ngl, I lost interest when the switched it to Denev because of personal beef with him. He’s long gone now, but even so I still can’t really look at Aurum the same.
>>
I personally don't care who voices who I just want the damn thing to come out. Even if it's some sort of beta version or a demo.
>>
Was ANY mention nade of when a demo is coming out?
>>
>>37032
Don't think so, not for nChant at least
>>
>>37032
I'll be surprised if they do release a demo of the software considering the audios they put out a while back were manipulated with RVC and sounded very noisy
