the idea is cool but how exactly are we going to spread it around

>>28058
good point i didn't think of that

>>28058
Feels like it would be easy to astroturf on reddit fun fact threads

>>28060
Maybe but I feel like fake news spread faster on Twitter. I mostly use that site to find out about new releases and art but I've noticed that it's so painfully easy to gaslight people there. You can just claim that something is true and hundreds of people will just believe you.

This is how creepy pastas are born

>>28062
the idea isn't to make a creepypasta, just something silly

>>28057
I have a Haku-like character in mind whose gimmick is that she's aware that everybody forgot about her. Is that too Riko-like?

>>28063
Honestly I think TikTok did that a few years back already.

>Tiktok
That site's an elementary school playground, I think we can do better

>>28066
Feel like that's a bit too on the nose but that's just my opinion

>>28068
never heard of it. but either way this is 39chon. if we did tori we can do this.

>>28061
Twitter might be good but I'd be more careful with it, it's more volatile and already has a ton of hoaxes

The most plausible way to go would be if it was an obscure tie-in to some other brand. They're still discovering those every once in a while.

>>28078
good idea

concept1.png - 296.41 KB (654x675)

>>28066
small concept art i came up based on this but feel free to make changes

You could just make this in the open turn it into a Mandela Effect thing where some people swear it exists and see if others copy.

>>28078
What brand though

Story should go that this voicebank was created by [COMPANY NAME] in collaboration with Yamaha during the testing stages of V6 and was originally intended to come preinstalled with the V6 Editor but was ultimately scrapped due to [COMPANY NAME] being unhappy with the result. Eventually Yamaha would make up for it with asa.

I like the hair but I think she should look less anxious otherwise we're just making another Toriko

>>28084
also no ear piercings because Ena already has them

>>28085
ear piercings don't have to be locked to one design only
that being said, brand tie-in mascots usually look pretty happy
>>28082
some brand that's collaborated with others in the past? 7/11? i'm picturing something like akikoloid

>>28083
i'm liking this one

>>28084
Perhaps she can be perpetually teary eyed instead of the menhera face. Maybe with a kinda blank expression

Otobe_Sap….webp - 123.62 KB (640x640)

The fake company could really just be anything because look at Otobe Sapphire. She came out of nowhere and she's made by a company no one has ever heard of.

>>28095
I agree with this anon

I think the hardest part would be coming up with a final design. V6 doesn't exactly have a specific art style like earlier eras of Vocaloid so we can take creative liberties there, but what all voicebanks have in common is that their renders are extremely detailed. We'd need a really good drawfriend or the alternative is to commission an artist like we did with TORIKO (and I know 90% of this board isn't willing to comm).

SynthV on the other hand...

Assuming this will be turned into a Leeka: I think we'd benefit from having a Leeka with sleepy eyes and a whispery voice. Kinda like Nurse Robot.

>>28099
I could try and take the drawfriend mantra. I don't usually go crazy with details but I don't imagine it's wholly out of my ballpark if I just spend longer on the drawing than usual

>>28104
Maybe it'd be a good idea to finish her design first though and think of a way to spread her around

>>28060
You could make a thread asking who the loid is and someone answers with this >>28083

But that's all i could come up with

>>28107
You could also ask a reputable source, someone in the community people trust, to spread the fake rumor. But at that point it could get very risky.

>>28107
I don't wanna go on Reddit even as a joke, man. Besides their moderators will probably insta delete the thread so what's the point.

>>28100
Same company as Otobe btw

>>28102
At this point we might've run out of voice providers but still i would like to see this happen

Someone could create a website with fake blog post dates archive the site then delete the site so no one can check it's whois info assuming that info gets removed once a site is no longer paid for, if it isnt then would have to reregister it to coved it up.

>>28116
Technically can just commission someone.

You can't really pull this kind of stunt anymore tbh desu.

>>28080
that's just tori

>>28123
Watch me do it

>>28096
>>28100
The funny part is Gemvox isn’t a company, it’s a brand. They’re from two companies one of which is a start up and the other is the anime studio behind Hellsing, which only makes the Gemvox brand more confusing. But yeah, you could literally be any kind of company and just pull a v6 out of nowhere.

OP's idea has potential and now that /leek/ has slowed down it might be doable

>>28129
Do you even need a company at this point? Fan-ding is a thing now

>>28123
Technically you can but it'll get debunked immediately

I think it'd be funny to make an UTAU that has the silhouette of a cute girl that's actually a horrifying creature and announce it with just the silhouette before revealing what it actually is

Bump

>>28462
At most it used to just be for distribution reasons I believe? Ruby was technically the first Indie vocaloid despite PFX’s involvement(which was supposed to just be distribution).

>>28943
Dex and Daina too i think

>>28943
Yamaha develops and publishes all the Fan-ding banks, at least according to their page

>>28953
No, they were fully zero-g, Aki and nsa just had a lot of creative control

>>28994
I mean, fanding is very different compared to the standard way things go. One of the campaigns is literally a character from a major book publisher. You can be an individual or a company applying for it.

>>29002
What character are you referring to?

>>29003
The girl from AI Voice, Kotone. Iirc she's created and owned by Kodansha.
