I'm not the deepest (definitely way deeper than most male UTAU VPs though) but I could probably work, if I wasn't the voice of another male UTAU. I'm not sure how different I can even get my voice, or what the worst sounding UTAU would entail. Would it be stuff like purposefully mispronouncing stuff?
I'd at least nominate either CV or C+V for potential reclists. CV is pretty obvious, it can sound good, but it's choppy, fast, and easy. C+V can work in both EN and JP with a phonemizer, and is pretty hard to use and configure already, from personal experience. It's also really easy to mispronounce if you're not familiar with SynthV or DiffSinger phonemes (since it and English DS actually have a very similar phoneme list)

I underestimated how fucked my voice is from a year of screaming regularly when I listen to myself. Not that i could sing to begin with though nor do i in my current situation have time to help....not that im not already uncomfortable with people hearing me

A long standing tradition. Every board likes to make a community UTAU. VocaloidOtaku specifically did a male female pair of MARIE and CALLUM. I still got a copy of CALLUM kicking around on an old laptop actually. I think UtaForum even did the gimmick of a "worst voicebank possible" in Otakune Weeaboo whose official art was a stick figure with a Naruto headband and whose voice was a basic CV bank with the recording samples crushed and autotuned to hell and back (which lead to an interesting sound when actually used in UTAU).

He was the voice provider but he doesn't actually know how to use UTAU at all and is kinda a poser, he just runs the website and did video editing on other people's PVs. The OTO configuration etc was actually done by one of the other staff, likely Myst or Cz as they were in on the juke. The "official" UTAU of UtaForum is technically Defoko, but that was the staff's way to deflect favoritism complaints.

MARIE and CALLUM were the "official" VocaloidOtaku UTAU that got de-canonized after production after the mods got in drama over the "official" status. I think one of the global mods didn't like UTAU at all and just opposed the project altogether. Initially the project did have Azureflux, the lead admin's blessing to be "officially" before he walked it back after the controversy.

Fun fact, part of the VocaloidOtaku workgroup that worked on MARIE and CALLUM would eventually be part of the team recruited by Ander to work on VocaTone. Ancient VO lore for you.

Because Azureflux got caught embezzling site donations. He did a donation drive to help him pay for IRL expenses and when the community didn't pay up he closed the site to spite everyone. Both the UtaForum and Vocalidsm staff offered to host the forum for him and possibly buy the domain, or at least the database from him but he refused.

That could be an idea. I think if we're going for the concept of "worst possible voicebank", translating that into a design, im thinking the thesis would have to be something either like:
-Something that has so much hubris that it makes the actual quality of the voicebank hilarious when juxtaposed with the design
-A design that just reflects the low quality of the sound

"Low" quality with low in quotation marks is certainly an appeal. I only brought up Otakune Weeaboo earlier because their attempt to make a "low" quality recording actually made it sound kinda unique.

The raw samples were pre-processed in Melodyne. The recordings were digitally cleaned, made pitch perfect, all the inflection was purposely removed when they "AUTOTUNED" the raw samples to make him sound super reobotic. Whelp, they did all the over processing to make him sound "bad" but it ended up being unique and having its own niche appeal. Also recording on a Logitech Rockband microphone even though he had an AT2020USB was just trolling.

if we're leaning full robot, why not make it an artificial voicebank?

Not recommending we do the exact same approach, just showing an example about how someone interpreted "bad" without making the UTAU unusable. Other ways to do "bad" might be doing weird pronunciations (Otakune has American vowels and cat noises for "nya" while the real nya is hidden), prrprocessing using various filterm, for example maybe using a VoiceMod preset on your samples, sampling non-human objects and manipulating them to make CV phonemes, doing your delivery through a vuvuzela, recording remotely via dicksword call compression, passing your samples through an analog tape recorder first. There are many fun and creative ways to do "bad" besides purposely flubbing your recording. I am just saying if we want to do "bad" we can have fun and be creative with it.
