This is probably not lost media so i apologize if its the wrong theread but i have been trying to find this sexual UTAU song about vaginal infections in English (it might've been a cover). The thumbnail featured a girl with purple hair making a disgusted face. Pic related is what i remember it looking like. I also remember the tuning being insanely realistic for UTAU standards, i'm talking SynthV levels of realism.

Many years ago I know a song featuring Luka (and Miku as backing vocals) with some 100 views. It's called Rebellion with Megurine Luka and the artist named themselves Girldemo (after Angel Beats! probably). I still remember its melody.
The only thing I have of it right now is a dead Youtube link. It used to have a NicoNico link but it was already dead when I found it back then I think.

I actually still have a copy of it in my old PC at my parent's home. I brought a copy when I moved countries but I lost this one when I bricked my new PC (I have since made it a habit to back up all important files because of this). I don't know why I didn't keep the file in the flash drive I bought but it seems like I didn't (I think I was planning on using it for something else and it had no space). I actually lost my entire downloaded playlist, except the ones that featured IA because I had always brought that playlist with me on my phone. I have not redownloaded anything since then, but I eventually discovered a few years ago that this song had vanished completely from the internet, and I felt guilty since then.
The only way for me to recover this is to somehow recover it from my old PC at my parent's house, which I think is also dead from the last few times I tried to turn it on. I should try some data recovery service next time but I haven't gotten the chance to, and there are no guarantees that will even work.
Lukabros, if you are reading this, I am so sorry for not taking better care of her. I definitely don't deserve her especially after I had abandoned her in favor of IA despite the fact that Luka was actually the one that got me into Vocaloid, though she was never my wife and I was always just a casual fan of her. Still, I wish I wasn't this retarded with my files.

Digging deeper, it looks like I found the NND link, but according to Web Archive it was at least accessible in 2021. So maybe I was wrong about the NND link being dead when I first found it (I found it around 2014-2015).

There's a few lost songs by a producer known as z_grdm, previously Poetfog and Chiptune123. Most songs by them at least have the instrumentals uploaded, however two songs remain "lost" even by the producer: Nothing/何もない and Pity Party. I have the on-vocal for Pity Party, however I lack the PV, which featured Utatane Piko in Tone Rion's outfit switching from Pink/Yellow/Green/Blue on a blue curtain background. Its melody was referenced by the producer in a later song, "Eve":

I recently saw a this video that talked about a way of finding lost media from cache's that did not properly delete and some program had been developed to search it and they have a form you can fill out to make requests.

They're basically cursed. I might have mentioned it before as an anon, but bankruptcy and the 2011 tsunami affected development big time. I could be misremembering the order of events, but I believe it was EVP that was affected by the tsunami and then when I went looking at the old webarchives, I was able to find some supporting evidence that makes sense if VocaNext was the one that went bankrupt. I don't remember everything accurately from the conversations I had with the rest of the Ring search team, so please forgive me if there are some inaccuracies and that I can't pull up proper sources.

An odd detail I remember from the conversations is that there was another company or circle involved, but because there's so much that is either not public, not translated, or long since deleted, I can't really go back and confirm it.

What I can gather from the VocaNext closure, though, is that they put a lot of money into marketing and that use of funds is likely why they had to file for bankruptcy. There was basically an event that it seems like a team from their company ran to both promote Ring and as a general vocaloid event. Unfortunately, the event ran at a severe loss. Not enough money was made back from ticket sales. This is the same event where the game demo disc was initially distributed.

Some added details: unfortunately, we were never able to confirm if her beta was distributed at this event or successfully reach out to the circles that attended the event during our initial search a few years back. This means we're kind of stuck waiting on someone with it to upload it or a disc with her on it to appear for sale.

I'm not very hopeful tbh. Japan is notorious for taking copyright too seriously, making the preservation of lost media very hard. I doubt you can just talk to a producer or a developer and expect them to hand you a copy of the voicebank. Not to mention that VN/EVP are anonymous.

It’s worse than you say. We did have leads like I previously mentioned, I believe bat had reached out to a few, but the groups on the list we had either did not respond or responded with bad news (either they never had it, only had a copy of the game disc, or did have it but no longer do). Not to mention, the discs that were handed out were rewritable and rewritable discs have a tendency to be more prone to disc rot, this is actually what made our copy of the game unplayable. While we do have a working version of the game demo now, there’s a possibility that if we did somehow find Ring, she could be corrupt beyond repair and the search has restart all over again.

At this rate, it’s not impossible but very slim, but we’d have to rely on a beta disc managing to slip out onto the secondhand market. We have had this happen with a Prize Galaco box which only 3 ever existed as display pieces or internal team gifts.

Before anyone asks, our leads have gone unpublished because we want to avoid what happened when Vivi went public. We don’t want bad actors to harass those who were linked to Ring even if they never had her to begin with.

do you anons know or have a favourite UTAU that got all of its information swiped off the internet? as for me it's yuki yabanne, an UTAUloid made by crusher. she was previously known as yuki awesomene. her reboot as yuki yabanne has little information, to the point her voicebank was reuploaded in 2021.

as for yuki awesomene, sure there's little information of her, but her wiki article is still up.

Her wiki page and downloads are still up, but her creator seemingly either abandoned, deleted or deactivated most accounts with her old alias. Which makes her a little tricky to find content of, atop of already being somewhat unpopular back then.
