Post Nihongo tunes ITT

Do people still care about Love Live?

Visual Novels, RPG Maker, Ryona/Guro games, etc. Been a while since I've heard someone talk about indie horror games from Japan. Let's have a thread for them. I've been meaning to replay Witch's House.

Recently discovered this obscure denpa artist
There's barely any information about them online but their music is interesting and i feel like this board would appreciate it

any OS-tan fans here? who's your favourite?
i love ME of course, but Inu-T is probably the one i adore most. 2K is also hot.

Can we have a thread for ukagaka and related media?

I recently saw a thread on 4chan discussing the evolution of Japanese internet culture over the years. There were some interesting things said about 2channel/5channel (not to be confused with Futaba/2chan) and Futaba Channel/2chan.net.

Since this is the only imageboard out there with a Nihongo Culture board (rather than general Otaku Culture) I thought of importing this topic here.

Do you browse the Japanese internet? Do you feel like it has changed drastically or that some of its most important sites have fallen from grace?

I don't see any Gachimuchi threads here, let's change that

Today i had Hata Ramune (picrel) for the first time The taste is hard to describe, it's almost like an alcoholic pineapple drink except without any alcohol. It also had a small crystal ball inside which i kept. Pineapple isnt the only flavor that exists, I also saw grape and a couple others.

How decent is Kagi for communicating with Japanese people online? I've heard good things about it and you can apparently translate text to non existent languages such as "Alien" with AI. But is it accurate? Is it good enough to talk to my friends from the other side of the world?.
If not, what translator do you suggest?.

>inb4 "just learn Japanese"
I am. But I also already have Japanese friends. I want to be able to talk to them in real time like I'm talking to you and I'm not good enough to form sentences yet.

Milgram is an interactive music project by DECO*27 and Yamanaka Takuya in which you, the viewer, decides whether or not to forgive a prisoner for their crimes. Remember to be civil! There's no right or wrong answer.

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows about any good 2ch style english textboards?
It has to be comfy too～

“I'm curious about something in Japan, but there isn’t much info in English—and I don’t even know where to start…”
If that sounds familiar, I can look up Japanese-language sources online on your behalf (as a Japanese speaker).

In general, anything Japan-related is fine—but I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to answer everything.
For example, topics like divisive current events (where opinions vary a lot) or information that requires a high level of expertise may be difficult to handle.
If I can’t give a solid answer, I’ll explain why as clearly as I can.

I've been really into Japanese flash animations recently and i figured i'm not alone here so let's have a thread for them

Any Gikopoi players here?

For the discussion of note tappies fun time games. Arcade, home, and mobile games welcome!

As requested in the other thread.

I'll start this one by saying that you should try Aerial chips if you haven't.

Thread to talk about utaite, vsingers, etc. Post covers, originals and all that good stuff.

Every so often i find myself exploring places I'll never be able to visit in real life through Google Maps and Street View. One of them being Japan. I know there's a common sentiment that Akiba is not what it used to be but I'm still amazed every time I pass by its streets, even if virtually.

The big three

Otomads are /j/. So post otomads.

We have a Touhou thread, so we need one more to complete the big 3 of NND!

Talk about the games, anime, music, anything related to the IM@S franchise!

Surprised we don't have one of these already. Let's talk about Touhou!
To start us off, who are your favourite characters?

I hope you still like Puniru-chan

Thoughts on the Super Strip Fighter series? (and other StudioS games)

Pouring one out for the best Touhou piracy site and forum

DOES ANYONE STULL GIVE A FUCK ABOUT BOKUSATSU TENSHI DOKURO CHAN???? </3333

As many of you know, Yoran Heling a.k.a Yorhel, the founder of the Visual Novel Database, has passed away on March 17th. No announcement had been made until now. Those of you who may not be entirely familiar with visual novels have probably stumbled upon his website through a VN called "Mirai no Kimi to, Subete no Uta ni", which made the rounds around the early 2010's and might be the most popular Vocaloid-related fan VN. Ultimately, though, VNDB was more than just a Visual Novel Database, as the title implies. It was a major contribution to otaku culture in general. Rest in peace, Yorhel.

日本語を勉強しているので、みんなで日本語だけで書くスレッドを始めたら面白いと思いました。これは機械翻訳ですが、時間が経つにつれて、自分で意味の通る文章が作れるようになりたいと思っています。

post old NND/YT memes (particularly the sort people would draw with their own characters)

Can we have a thread for photography? Post cool pics you've found / taken of Japan.

Many years ago I had chance to work in the kadokawa herald for an international project based on a very famous dark fantasy writer, they had curiosity, real concrete interest and passion to embrace and to japanize something born in a different country. There are many difficulties in the common writing of such kinf of franchiese... the japaneses create emotional fresco fully different from the "europeans". But in time the Japan culture won the war for the global imaginary, only old generations can see that, the yooung people think that it was always like in the now.

Has anyone seen those videos of the animated 3D billboards in Japan? I mean I've only seen the cat (he pushes stuff down!!!!!) but I heard there's a panda one too!

For those who are unaware AviUtl is a free Japanese video editing software used by a lot of professionals - from doujin circles to otomad creators and vocaloid producers. A new version called AviUtl 2 recently came out. Have you used it yet?.

Recently found this channel which teaches about Japanese culture through Zundamon. I thought it'd be interesting to have a thread for these types of videos in general.

ITT: VocaDuo 2025 and beyond songs

>What is VocaDuo?
Chances are you've seen it on your feed but it is a contest where Utaites and VocalPs (ie vocalsynth producers) make songs together annually. It's relatively huge, mixing the techincal prowess of producers with actual singers

>Why isn't this in /leek/
Because it's only tangibly a Vocaloid contest with the vocaloid part missing, with the big focus being on the synthesis of producer and singer

Post songs and anything interesting you have come across, such as hidden gems, skits, etc. Discuss to your hearts content.

Do you browse any Japanese imageboards such as Futaba Channel or 2channel?

With Maritan you will learn the only important English words.

Post commercials from Japan

This September, I'll be starting my third (and final) year of studies. Thanks to my apprenticeship, I already have two years of experience in cybersecurity, and I should reach N4/N3 next year.

People don’t seem too excited about living in Japan due to the work culture, but working for a foreign company could make a difference. Daily life there looks so vibrant and dynamic, there’s always something to do and see!

Can't wait to play Sound Voltex for hours again

Since we have a thread for Japanese drinks, how about a thread for Japanese food?
