Yorhel has passed away Mikudayo Sat, Mar 21, 2026, 01:07 PM No.431
As many of you know, Yoran Heling a.k.a Yorhel, the founder of the Visual Novel Database, has passed away on March 17th. No announcement had been made until now. Those of you who may not be entirely familiar with visual novels have probably stumbled upon his website through a VN called "Mirai no Kimi to, Subete no Uta ni", which made the rounds around the early 2010's and might be the most popular Vocaloid-related fan VN. Ultimately, though, VNDB was more than just a Visual Novel Database, as the title implies. It was a major contribution to otaku culture in general. Rest in peace, Yorhel.

RIP. I found out about pic related via VNDB. I hope the mods are still able to maintain the site without him.
