Yes I am serious. The time has come, /live/. Maybe this is a bit too ambitious of a project for a small website like 39chan. Unlike Vocaverse, 39chan has had little to no promo on social media, and our userbase is overall less skilled, look how long its taking to make a single DiffSinger voicebank. But even so, we've achieved great things over the years. And this is possibly the biggest project proposal here.

The idea is to create the concert of our dreams.
<Step 1
>Propose a setlist.
Heard a majority of you have been disappointed by MikuExpo these past few years. Well post your idea of a MikuExpo. What songs do you want to hear? What 'loids do you want to see? What would the perfect concert look like to you?.
<Step 2
>Find an animator.
Somebody's gotta create the motions and dance videos, right?. I know, I know, >>>/mmd/ is essentially a dead board, but there's gotta be someone out there who can do this. As a last resort what we can do is commission somebody on Deviantart.
<Step 3
>Virtual or IRL?.
Should the concert be streamed through a website like Twitch, Youtube or be an IRL event in a specific part of the world? Keep in mind that if its the latter somebody's gonna need to have the required equipment.
<Step 4
Do NOT let this shit flop.
Go fuck yourself if you think that we can't do this. I believe in you, anon, but believe in yourself as well. If /feg/ can do it, why can't we?.

The difference is that those are run by actual teams of people who know how to do shit - Miku Live, Vocamerica, Vocaloid Medley all have a team behind it

Barely anyone here makes music, literally no one, not a single person here uses MMD, and even less people here own projectors like the ones they use for those events
If this goes anywhere at all we're extremely lucky but for now it remains a dream

that said, animating choreography sucks. only true masochists do it, let alone for free.
you're right on the money on that part at least, i wouldn't do it for free. if this goes anywhere i'd be more than happy to lend any support elsewhere support any endeavors made from the side though
i think >>679 has the right idea, though. a virtual concert can be just as fun as a real life one with the right spirit. they even do that kind of thing on the japanese side of the MMD community every now and then since it's a low cost high reward endeavor. still a lot of work though, so there's that.

Come to think about it, with concert ready motions and MMD models it shouldn't be too hard to render a couple dance animations for the holos. But you'd also need a video editor to help with the transitions and background / stage GFX.

Something like this is doable but requires way too much effort than most people here are probably willing to make.
