What's the point of using a chat app that barely anyone uses it? Part of the charm with the old man was that it was the default way for almost every online users back then to communicate with each other.

Also modern apps and sites that try to recreate the feeling of the old, good internet is mostly used by buddys and zoomers who have a fake nostalgia for an era they never lived.

Great necrobump. But i agree, websites that attempt to recreate the 'old thing' are filled with people who weren't around for the 'old thing'. I believe in "indie social media" and websites created by hobbyist devs but revival projects are always bound to flop.
