A Japanese dev released this new MMD software which according to the translation can only do basic imports right now.
Multi language support seems to be planned but its lower priority so you can only use it in Japanese for the time being

It's definitely smoother than regular MMD and the UI is a lot more user friendly. It also has built in effects.

Doesn't seem like it but i found out that you can mess with the shading of the textures directly from Modoki itself, which is a neat feature to have.

I've been seeing a surprising amount of Japanese users calling this "MMD 2". I want to see this project succeed and maybe bring a MMD renaissance of sorts.

You can adjust the outline of the models in FX -> Edge
I think it applies it to all models though
