Honestly, they're experimenting more with them for other concerts, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do come back. Prob won't be the 2025/2026 Miku Expo tours, but if the bigger ones they used and are using at the recent Sekai concert and Miku With You are that big, then hopefully they can at least take advantage if they are gonna use them in the future.

Honestly, the screens aren't awful as long as they blend them in with the stage well, but like, gonna be 100% brutally honest, I do wish they fucking desaturated and saturated the performances according to the screens they were using. If it was originally made for the hologram, it looked too bright and made the screen way more visible than the stage lighting alone, where, if you noticed Intergalactic Bound in Blooming, the hologram severely desaturated her, the pops of colour were gone, and she looked fucking grey and washed out. This alone is my main issue with the difference in screens. If we're gonna be using different screens or slowly transitioning to LEDs over the coming years, then make the colours look good! Most importantly, of course, I think we all just want it to be made clear in advance which screen we're getting. I think we'd all be fine if we knew well in advance which one it was.

Since there's no way I'm braving that merch line at the event just to overpay for glowsticks, I ended up going for these ones I got off Amazon. They're pretty alright and have a lot of color options, but I'm actually a bit worried that they may be TOO bright. My pic doesn't do them justice, in pitch black they're bright AF. I hope I don't get told off for having them, especially since I'm sitting VIP towards the front. A review for them said they brought them to a previous Miku Expo, so I hope it ends up fine for me too. We'll see I guess....

This setlist was literally made for me WTF. I don’t have the setlist from start to finish in numerical order but here’s what I remember: Culture, Sweet Magic, Ohedo Julia Night, Love is War, Patchwork Stacatto, whatever the 2026 theme song is called, MAGICAL CURE LOVE SHOT, Amazing Dolce, BRING IT ON, and ODDS AND END. It was really fun, now I have to go home and get some sleep before my 8AM class but no regrets super fun.

It's just a safe assumption of mine that it will. As I mentioned, they might rotate it with the other previous contest winners: Ten Thousand Stars, Miku Fiesta, etc. They did this for previous expos so it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary. We'll know for sure if this assumption is correct tomorrow.

My other guesses are that World's End Dancehall and potentially artifact will rotate as well, but I'm not 100% that artifact will rotate, given it's still pretty fresh from last year.

Finally got home after the 8 hour drive back.
Decided to hit up the nearby Chicago Round1 to try and get some of their collab merch before I left, but of course they didn’t have anything left besides the card, but at least I got that. I was feeling post-event depression a bit during the drive, but the toll of these past three days has caught up to me and I’m just exhausted now lmao. I had to drive the 8 hours to get there Saturday, spent most of Sunday standing around waiting to get merch and to get in, only to spend the whole show afterwards screaming my heart out and moving around, and then the other 8 hour drive from today. I loved every second of yesterday and it was worth everything, but good lord am I tired. I’d probably do it again in the future though, we’ll see when the time comes lol
