How does 39ch feel about Vocamerica? Apparently this month they've had their first show in years.

Love the concept but pissed at the scamming. Cute models but the stiff animation ruined it. Decent quality for a fanmade concert, I'm not against fanmade concerts, when well made they're actually a great opportunity for loids who can't get official ones. (Like Piko Live Party, wish 90% of the songs weren't covers though. Especially when Piko does have a few iconic songs from big Ps like Samfree, even if not a lot. The Piko version of CircusP's Breathe should've been made after and used in it, I enjoy it and it's PV WAYYY more than the DEX original.)
Also hate the nepotism and inclusion of random irrelevant UTAU. God I'm so fucking glad we have actually good Engloids with cute character designs like Eleanor Forte now instead of shitty OCs from fandom members who can't even sing! Even Makune Hachi, who shares a VP with Ruby is way cuter and I would've preferred be there than the UTAU who were. I loved Aiko as a kid (even made an OC inspired by her, lol) and still find her design cute even if I'm not too fond of her voice anymore so I guess I'll give me a pass on her. I actually liked DEX solely for his design as a tasteless minor too, should've listened to my brother when he said he sounds like shit.

>Apparently this month they've had their first show in years.

That's crazy, I thought it was discontinued.

Even looking at this picture just demonstrates how bad American Vocaloids were prior to the CYBERs and Po-uta, and I say this as an American myself..*weeps*
VOCAEUROPE ft. Oliver, Avanna, and Sonika, when?
>>

The new PV for Breathe made me gay
>>
>>21
a bit off topic but i honestly think there should be an utau only concert event
>>
>>21
>The Piko version of CircusP's Breathe
Funny you mention this because i was watching it earlier today and noticed that it says it's sponsored by Vocamerica in the description. I wonder if this has any implications.

The modeler talked about it, looks like it was actually unused Vocamerica stuff
>>
>>27
Oh man. I thought we were getting Piko @ Vocamerica 2025. At least they motion didn't go to waste, thank god.

I honestly love the concept of an EN Vocaloid concert but at the same Vocamerica seems a little disappointing even as a non-American. I looked up the setlist and it's pretty decent but the 'loids they chose outside of MAIKA are so… eh… Maybe it's just me but I really don't care for Ruby, DEX, DAINA and the other whotaus. I'd prefer to see Oliver, Yohioloid, Big AL, Prima or even JP->EN vocaloids like Macne Nana or GUMI.
>>
>>29
Nah as an American I completely agree. At the same time prior to Eleanor were there even any good American loids/VBs? Big Al and Cyber Diva are all I know, but even then I was unaware Big Al was American until super recently and I think tons of people thought Cyva was the first American/USloid as well. Wish it was a general Engloid concert instead of America-centric so we could get voices like Sonika instead of random UTAU. (Like Piko, she has a decent amount of iconic songs too even if currently a who)

If they don't intend on adding some of the newer, better American vsynths that have come out in recent years or including more non-American loids (at least they have Maika and Oliver!) I'll always lack interest in it lol.
>>

>currently a who
Not for long
>>
>>30
Since when do they have oliver
>>
>>32
Yeah I was suprised too and originally thought they didn’t, but according to https://vocaloid.fandom.com/wiki/VOCAMERICA they do. Maybe they added him afterwards?
>>

It was used for Voca Live Party

I heard V4 Sonika's design was recycled for Vocamerica

>this is the closest thing we'll ever get to an avanna concert

character is cute though i won't lie
>>

Has anyone here actually been to these Vocamerica events and was it worth it?
>>
Did VOCAMERICA 2024 ever happen or was it just a rumor? I can't find anything on it.
>>
>>1899
Allegedly, but I have seen no footage of it, no mention of it anywhere outside the Vocaloid wiki page
>>
>>1984
maybe vocamerica 2024 was the friends we made along the way
>>
>>1899
while researching this i found out that there was also a vocamerica 2025 at tora-con and hizashicon respectively
>>
I’ve heard nothing about Vocamerica. I thought those concerts ended. I know VocaLiveParty has gone around but that’s a different team.
>>
>>1989
If i had to guess these 2020s era Vocamerica concerts that are listed on various websites are just EmpathP appearances at cons rather than full on concerts like they used to do back in the day.
>>
Sonika concert when
>>
>>1990
Seems like it
>>
>>1988
>>1989
>>1990
So is VocAmerica truly dead for good or are websites just labeling any public EmpathP appearances as "VocAmerica"?
>>
>>2046
I genuinely have no idea. In the comments of the Vocaloid wiki someone said they were excited to go to their first Vocamerica in years and that was in 2024.

If I had to guess though you are correct and Vocamerica has been dead since the pandemic.

Did some research (Literally just looked at AkiGlancy's instagram page) and found that there was a concert and panel at Hizashi 2025 but it doesn't specify that it's Vocamerica.
>>
>>1899
It didn't
>>
Controversies aside, i really wish we had something like this again. Entire fan-concerts based on the English 'loids. Imagine an entire Eleanor Forte concert.
>>
>>3109
I'd love to hear oyasumination live
>>
>>3109
If they were to do this again they should add more SV era 'loids excluding conversions (like Teto and Gumi). Like some of the Eclipsed Sounds characters. Even if she technically doesn't count I'm also sure people would like to see Yi Xi too given her new cult status.
>>
>>3110
this, Weathergirl would be so cool too
>>
>>3109
Agreed
Would love something like Vocamerica but run by a competent team
>>
>>3114
also with less of a focus on UTAUs. i get that they put them there because they were the most popular western UTAUs of that era, but a majority of the new fans don't even know aiko.

Solaria would be cool to see. She's semi popular and also has a MMD model (picrel).
>>
>>3109
We've been getting more fan concerts than the previous decade so i wouldn't rule out the possibility. All we need is a group that's insane enough to do it. Maybe VocaMedley could but I highly doubt they'll ever branch out from Japanese 'loids.
