This artist stopped drawing vocal synths I think and it's my personal 9/11.

if you mean hiomaika she still draws vocaloid stuff, mostly yohioloid x maika.

Words cannot express my disappointment towards Yamaha not just for making Zero-G cancel Sonika V4 but also for making this insane design go to waste

I know this is /c/ and not /leek/ but it breaks me every time I think about it.

Yay! Saw "not into FE or synths fandom" on their Twitter bio and got scared.

The amount of Sonika fans on this site makes me happy..maybe Sonika V4 wasn't a bad idea. Hopefully they consider updating her in the future

i'm pretty sure she lost interest in the fandom but not the vsynths themselves. i could be wrong though, i don't know this person i just like her art.
>The amount of Sonika fans on this site makes me happy.
there's been a very small sonika resurgence recently. sadly it's not as big as i'd hope.

FiVaTvZagA….jpg - 228.77 KB (1541x1841)

Unfortunately i think a lot of producers just lost interest in the OGs due to how hard they are to use (except cyber diva, i think she's the easiest engloid). A lot of them just moved over to SynthV with SOLARIA, Teto, etc due to the multi language support and stuff.

I know this artist. Lex is so cool. They're one of the only people who draw engloids nowadays.

Idk how to tell you this anon but Zero-G cut ties with Yamaha/Vocaloid. Miriam Stockley showed interest in an upgraded MIRIAM voicebank but Zero-G basically ghosted her. They are also working on their own Vsynth called Ethera now.

I recently found out she quit the vocalsynth community and felt destroyed. We lost one of the greatest engloid artists.

>08/27/2024 - Deleted most vocalsynth-related fanart because people do not respect me enough as a person. Wasted my life in this community and this is the thanks I get, I'm done.

image14.png - 640.97 KB (497x700)

>>144
Damn, I probably got Chorva mixed up with Shg/Hiomaika then..even then Shg's Carrd says "Not a synth fan anymore, sorry!
I don't really like seeing synth content at all, I've come to dislike-hate most things to the point of not being able to enjoy any content anymore aside a few things and even those that I still like I'd rather avoid looking up usages with them 😓. I'm really sorry, but I won't follow back synth fans anymore due to this"

Man I wonder what happened, this fandom (the Western side at least) doesn't deserve anything nice!

6728eef272….png - 149.03 KB (400x401)

>>148
Doesn't surprise me. The English side of the fandom has always had a reputation for blowing things out of proportion and starting pointless drama (even before TikTok zoomers).

Really sucks though, both Chorva and Hiomaika are some of the best engloid artists out there and it's thanks to them that I became interested in the non-Japanese 'loids.

On an unrelated note, is the creator of the Dinky Dink music video (and Oliver's boxart) still around?. Their old art style feels pretty nostalgic.

Unless Crossyloid is the same person (which I doubt from how different their styles are), I doubt it sadly. Most recent piece from them (dappleback/lawlietlk/Amy Fineschriber) I was able to find was from 2016. Their old accounts are like a time capsule..

It appears she became a tattoo artist and graphic designer so in a way she's still making art but it's professional stuff now. Either way, glad she's still active.

>>157
Ah..I thought that was Crossyloid’s art and they were simply crediting her for the designs? Either way, good for her!

I've noticed that a lot of people are recently discovering Sonika for the first time, not just on this site but also on Twitter, which makes me pretty happy.

Your status as a 'wholoid' will be a thing from the past soon, Sonika, ganbatte!.

I wish the spainloids had gotten more attention from the voca community. That's not to say they never got any love, they absolutely did in Spain and Latin America and MAIKA was very popular outside those regions as well but there's barely any good originals featuring them, the covers vary in quality too.
