What was the earliest instance of a vocaloid song using an original character instead of the vocalsynth used in the song? i always thought ECHO was the first but there's probably even earlier examples

Maybe Laika? I can't think of any earlier rn but I can keep trying!

Although technically Laika was a real dog, so idk if that counts as "original character", but it's still something that wasn't the vocal synth lol

Fun fact: Wotoha (yes, THE Wotoha) designed and illustrated the character in the music video based off the cover which features a picture of GUMI with inverted colors (we actually have the original image on this site as one of the banners funnily enough).

Kind of... I'm quite mentally ill so I get possessive and obsessive... I'm on meds but it's hard still... I'm lucky my partner's known me for a decade or I'd probably be fucked.
I got a doctor's appointment lined up, so I'm going to return to therapy soon. Hopefully.
