Which of course lead me to this motion: https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm39555010

The description basically says "The password is the video ID numbers of the original song and choreography videos." So I input 3873391139409791 since that's 38733911 and 39409791 so logically it should be the password.
Yet somehow it results in "入力内容に問題があります"... How is the password wrong? What the fuck is happening? I hate this shit. meikoangry

I will never understand what the point of password protecting MMD files is. If it's to prevent redistribution it's not gonna work because people can just reupload the model without the password or reupload the password protected file with the password embedded on the post.

I always wondered why this was too? I recall some MMD models that were ripped from old games and having been rerigged for MMD having been locked behind passwords as well. It was someone who spoke English and an English password, so definitely not to keep English only speakers out.

i read in the description of an 2017 MMD video that claimed apparently it's against japanese copyright law to rip models from games to use in stuff like MMD, but that's likely just some kind of rumour spread from twitter or something. either way, you know how japanese companies are awfully trigger happy with their copyright claims cough cough, nintendo
