Yukarietto Model (DL)
After many painful hours in Blender, learning how to make hair, learning how to export MMD models, asking friends for help with the textures, attempting to weight paint after 3 years without rigging, reading guides, asking AI for help translating Japanese words, and fucking around in PMX editor, my masterpiece is complete. Is MMD dead/dying or am I just too negative?
A lot of the old MMD creators have either retired or moved onto more advanced software like Blender, Maya or even Koikatsu, series like the classic "Welcome to Vocaloid" are basically a relic of the past at this point and no one makes them anymore, MMD artists no longer share OC online except for Deviantart veterans. Even the "Genshin Impact dance videos" people claim to have dethroned Vocaloid MMD PVs seem to be on decline recently. Is the MikuMikuDance community dying?.Favorite MMD Videos
Do you guys have any old MMD videos you like?Official MikuMikuOnline Discussion Thread

A Japanese dev released this new MMD software which according to the translation can only do basic imports right now.Custom render pipelines
I've been doing some experimentation with MMDBridge. While it doesn't officially support LightWave, I was able to import a Blender-friendly Alembic export. The only quirks I had to deal with were the camera being kinda screwed (fixed by importing the VMD into Blender and exporting a camera-only Alembic through it) and having to reassign all materials manually.Deviantart's collapse and what this means for MMD
As if the recent news about UMG copyrighting random UTAU covers wasn't bad enough... A recent post I saw seems to show evidence that Deviantart appears to be collapsing. Now some of you might see Deviantart as the "cringy" art website from the 2000s with fetish art and traced art, but it's also home to hundreds if not thousands of MMD models, motions, etc (some of which come from abandoned accounts). So Iwara has been dead for a while
From what I understand they were shut down by their host and the site suffered data loss. They're working on getting it back up. More on their blog: https://iwara.tvMMD Creators
I'm tired of this "MMD is dying" crap. Post some creators who still make MMD content worth watching.Niconico services to be restricted outside Japan
Start archiving those MMD models you like because they won't be accessible soon.Koikatsu Vocaloid Cards
A while back i noticed that good vocaloid and vocal synth cards for this game are hard to find so i thought it'd be nice to have a thread for sharing KK vocalsynth cards. Feel free to contribute with your own creations/findings.MikuMikuOnline 39chan Fork

So what happened to the release of Steam release of MMD that was teased around 2014? From the Wikipedia article:Lost & Found
