so what the hell was this about anyway? i could not find footage of the event

As far as I’m aware it was an official event but it was basically they played a clip show. Think Miku Expo Rewind.

As for the RCMP thing, there’s not much info but it was the same event. As far as I’m aware unless CFM comes out with any further statement about the matter they approved that usage of it. Like I said though, same event.

It was an absolute shitshow is what it was. Merch booth was unprepared for the traffic + their card reader wasn't working at a card only booth. Every single performance was behind schedule and their last 2 acts before the Miku stuff had ENCORES.

They started the Miku video (which at least 50% of the people at this event were there to see) and played only 3 songs, stopping at MAGICAL CURE LOVESHOT OF ALL SONGS only to tell us all to come back tomorrow and "we'll play the rest of it"

absolute shambles it was. There were so many Miku Happis and cosplays and everyone was just upset.

As for the RCMP Miku thing, they were not supposed to take that standee for the booth. It was for the Merch booth/entry to the event.

I think it specified on the website it was a compilation of videos, but even so, if it was an actual concert licensed by CFM, CFM would have been present. Of course they weren’t because this was between Magical Mirai so they would have been busy doing final prep for Tokyo.

We all knew it going in to this since it was very clearly stated that it was just a screening. Still though, It was an official Miku thing and it was a free event so why not, right? The promise of exclusive merch is just too tempting lol.

As for the merch, it was a mix of stuff for the event (Tshirt, Poster, acrylic standee of the Mountie Miku, can badges, tote bag) and older official miku merch (snow miku and sakura miku plushie, posters, Tshirts)

It was fine enough but again the fact that it was card only to cash only really sucked. The next day, the tshirts were half off because they were water damaged due to rain.

I felt really bad because I went back on the sunday for the rest of the Miku stuff and when they showed the rest of the video, the act immediately after was a band that was legit kids. They were really good but some fucking idiot decided right there and then after the video was done and as the kids finished setting up to perform to give it to the organizers ("You guys FUCKING SUCK") which really makes me think that this will never happen again. That's what sucks the most since there's so much potential for a mid year miku thing every year.

They had one of the Umamusume voice actors so it was packed for that and once they announced Miku, the floodgates just burst right open.
