Was anyone here planning on going? I might stay in NYC over the 4 day span for the afterparties (have a friend in the area) and just get a Friday pass or none at all. I still have a bunch of the stickers left for dayos if they're around

ANYCs whole meetup selection thing kinda sucks ngl. They don't even allow people to talk about unofficial meet-ups on their server when it's literally some people gathering in a spot. They also gave one piece 2 slots while others were begging for one.

GSC lineup after Anime Expo this year looks disappointing ngl. I at least expected Teto pop up parade and some scales to carry over from AX but other than Mirai nendos everything else is stuff you can already buy online. GSC booths in US cons are already disappoint compared to what they sell in JP cons but at least give us some stuff that is limited or closed for pre orders.

Rin or Teto, I wanted to do Una but can't find her funny hat and it was kinda late to do it myself after deciding, also her hair is looks like it would be really hard to carry. Probably gonna do Teto tomorrow and Rin for Saturday.

For future reference Una's hat I think counts as an oversized beret. You can just find one in the right colour then add eyes and mouth and ribbon. Not sure if embroidered is best or gluing on plastic googly eyes lol

Random stuff I saw today at the con and the merch I got. There was a Chinese Fuwa seller and they got literally everything. Seriously thought about dropping a a few thousands there. Magical Mirai 2023 Fuwa alone was $180. I didn't buy that but seeing it in person and it being sold at a shelf was kinda surreal ngl. Figure prices were not as bad as I thought tbh. Like most prize figures were around $30-35 in the right booths and some of them were literally the ones that were still on the pre order phase for US figure stores so you pay a few dollars more to get the figure months earlier.
