I'm kinda just tired of the fast paced songs with cool music videos that feel like they're made to go viral. Which probably feels hypocritical considering I mentioned TAK, Iyowa and Atena who all do this, but TAK and Atena at least bring their own unique take on it and Iyowa makes some really weird dissonant experimental jazz that I've never heard before. But man I kinda wish we would just go back to still images and guitars (like niki). There's a few producers still doing this but they barely get any views.

 No.9774

>>9773
That's just the new meta unfortunately
You need a catchy fast paced song and an animated MV to go viral

Iyowa's a smart guy, his music has always sounded the same but he used to make still image MVs, he now animates them so as you'd expect his stuff blew up

 No.9776

>>9774
There's a couple producers who aren't very fond of this meta like Atena who criticized it while adhering to it at the same time lol

 No.9788

>>9773
Absolutely. I also feel like when you're being unique song wise, having a still image is a nice tradeoff. I've found myself listening to a lot of producers under 5k recently because they're usually more guaranteed to have a lot of effort put in, even if it occasionally isn't my thing.

I can't wait for the end of the Mesmerizer effect...in 2027 or something.

I checked the guy's other work and it hurts a little that he stopped making rock. He's so good at it.

god i wish they would add this to a concert setlist at some point but i guess the closest we'll ever get to that is wagakki band's performance of it

We need to set up our on fanmade concert, with Tengaku and hookers

 No.9829

>>9828
Some peeps over at /live/ were discussing doing something like this but considering the average 39channer is broke I don't see it happening. You could always set up a Kickstarter like AkiGlancy did with VOCAMERICA if you're serious about it but I'm not sure that's the greatest idea.

 No.9835

Honestly it’s probably just going to be easier in the long run to save up for a cheap projector and speakers, then you can just have MMD hologram ready videos playing

This feels a bit too ambitious for a small site like 39chan

I always felt bad for Toeto. Can't get myself to see her that way, not even when I was a kid. I do find Luka attractive doe.

What kind of money do you need to make it work?

 No.9843

I was saying bare minimum tbh lol anything more than that I’d say is too ambitious

I think the least we can do is some sort of meetup including what you just mentioned, but are we willing to travel miles to be in a room with stinky women and gay dudes from the miku version of 4chan?

>are we willing to travel miles to be in a room with stinky women and gay dudes from the miku version of 4chan?
yeah

 No.9846

>>9844
Yeah

 No.9847

it'd definitely be interesting if some anon in here actually makes this happen, lol. go propose it to /live/.

Well I don't live in America so no but if I did you bet I would

 No.9849

>>9835
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this what Vocamerica does?

 No.9851

I don't expect anything to come out of this but if someone here is actually willing to make it happen: get a team, because it's a huge pain in the ass. A single person can't do this.

You need a motion graphics guy, a really good animator or someone with access to mocap (there's this argentinian group that does fan concerts and they use real mocap from dancers), and an entire team of people with all the necessary equipment: think projectors, that transparent fabric, speakers, etc. The reason you'd need a lot of people across the country/countries is so that different states/countries can have the same experience without you having to travel across the entire continent with the equipment.

Additionally you'd also have to get in contact with people who work with convention events to ask if you could host the concert there, or rent out a venue yourself.

Maybe I'm mistaken and there's an easier way to do this but if you're serious about it that's one way you can go about it I guess.

Here's footage of some recent fanconcerts for reference:

I probably worded this weirdly so I apologize (ESL-kun). But basically what I'm trying to say is that if some anon in... let's say, Canada, has all the equipment and another anon in Los Angeles does too, there's no need to travel from one place to another. Or at least that's how I see it.

In all of these except the SwampCon one it looks like they're using a screen

the panama one you linked is very impressive just for the fact that they bothered to translate the songs in spanish. or at least electric angel, i didnt watch the full thing.

Nah, Vocamerica did a bit more by commissioning MMD models and making their own motions. They actually put in more effort.

I don't care much for the voice since she sounds near identical to Rei but the design is very cute

 No.9890

>>9885
Agreed, literally just Rei but purple lol

If you told me it was like a Rei Soft Append I would believe you.

 No.9893

Anyone else think this song is kind of lame? It doesn't really have a "song" factor to it, just a few collections of not-so-catchy notes, theorybait/lorebait MV (animated by catstation too, way on the nose), and 3edgy5me magical girl theming. It's just so lame bro, miku deserves better than this.

 No.9895

>>9893
miku deserves to go through 9 rings of hell but i agree

i don't hate channel's style, but as people say "the worst thing to do to me is to force me to eat nothing but my favourite dish everyday", and it doesn't even fit with the whole vn thing it's going for

 No.9896

>>9893
I guess I understand the criticism but I like this producer in general so I can't really hate it.

 No.9897

>>9893
It's cute and catchy. I don't believe it was made with virality in mind, but anything animated by Channel is bound to go viral regardless.

 No.9902

>>9893
So this thread is just gonna devolve into talking badly about songs we don't like now?

 No.9907

>>9893
disagree, i quite like it, and i don't find it to be lorebait-y in any way, it's rather self-contained as far as i know. having channel animate the mv i will agree is a strange choice but in the end i think it looks good. i'm not aware of any other 'edgy' mahou shoujo songs other than magical girl and chocolate & that one kairiki bear song, so i welcome this with open arms.

>>9902
i sure hope not! quick, someone talk about a song or producer that they like
