The OP there said it isn't a clone, rather an API to implement same technology as the engine. Kind of funny 39chan kept being mentioned and they have yet to find their way here.

They said they aren't looking for making voicebanks apparently so seems to be expecting others to finish what they start. Seems to be mostly an academic and developer pursuit. It would basically likely wind up as something to plug into OpenUTAU or something else for it to be usable for end user. Assuming if ever completed in any timely manner.

Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't someone already ported V1's functionality as a resampler for OpenUTAU? I recall seeing something like that on this site

It was a resampler using V1’s synthesis method, but when I checked, the download link was broken. Dunno if it’s up now

It was somewhere on VOISTAR’s website, and you can still find their tweets referencing it. Previously the download link sent you to one of their voicebanks instead of a resampler, now I can’t find the link at all
