So far, the only notes we have are that it should be denpa style, and someanon who wanted the lyrics to include "Now is Riko the most overlooked? Yessir! Now is Riko the most overbooked? Yessir" as a reference to Last Call. I personally suggest it might be fun for the general premise to be about an idol who deludes herself into believing she has fans.

I wouldn't be shocked if several people already want to tune, but what style of tuning do we want? Mine is pretty inspired by mid 2010s English Vocaloid so I'm not sure if that'd work with denpa. Plus I think another anon already asked?

Maybe could actually do a few genres in one song since denpa can be chaotic sometimes anyway unless it is meant the more old school moe song. Like start out more J-pop but then it just gets more frantic and entrancing instrumentally at some point and maybe have some calm parts in some other genre like hyperpop or a modern city pop between unless it was meant more closer to old school moe song. Just throwing out an idea. I dont have a clear vision and this is late night talk for me.

I feel like it would be important to be careful how her delusions of fame are presented. If boastful it will too easily come off narcissistic. I remember seeing an episode of Dr Phil this guy claiming he was a music producer that worked with big artists like Beyoncé, that asshat Jerry Springer-esque fake therapist accused him of just being a lying narcissist when to me he was clearly actually delusional, though he was big headed about it. I'd rather more like it portrayed as being flattered but relatively humble about having "fans" to not be too over top all the time and avoid seeming just full of herself. For similar reasons I'm really not for a Kanye reference even before getting into other issues with him and how it will attract /pol/yp types.

It's 3AM and I just slapped together some cheesy ass lyrics based on random denpa I've heard and the Toriko info page. I'm starting to get a headache and I need to work tomorrow so I hope this was worth it. Tried to follow the assignment with the music genre shifting idea and put together an absolutely barebones composition. The meowing instrument is a placholder for TORIKO's vocals. Absolutely everything here is also a placeholder. Still want to fix up some notes here and there but otherwise if everything is fine then I can drop the .midi for anyone working on vocals. If anyone else wants to take the mantra for producing beyond this I can also share the .flp.

I started working on this before I saw anons lyrics, so I wasn't really sure how to implement their flow or anything very easily. Lyric people might be able to help figure out where to fit some stuff in though.

I guess so. The unique users count on the homepage says we have had 4,115 posters but that doesn't mean how many users actively use the site, and i'm sure it also counts dynamic IPs (basically IPs that change each day because not everybody has a static IP address).

I will hopefully be able start writing my version of lyrics later either tonight or around starting Sunday. I am not inspired feeling enough right now to know how to start it but I have the idea of changing the focus to be more like TORIKO directing it at her "fans" like an appreciation song to them. I also want to try to add a small bit of Japanese lines to it so it will better have a chance of getting attention of producers in Japan so more songs will be made with her.

I am actually working on this now as promised. I am writing a chorus in Japanese first because that will be the hardest not being a speaker but I am surprised I am not doing too horrible as expected since I am using all tools as my disposal. I may show progress once I get a few more lines to check the work if I messed up bad. If I wind up with a line she references herself what should TORIKO use as her pronoun? Is atashi a good fit?

I have not gotten to the English parts I was planning still since I have not figured out the starting lines and I am more used to writing poetry so formatting a song is mostly new to me but here is what I have so far for the possible awful grammar Japanese part. The repetition number can be adjusted for length needed. The idea I had going for this part she trying to figure out why some people she thinks are fans do not act warmly to her and just thinks they have a bad day or are being tsundere. Tsun-run is a term I made up thinking it would be fitting. If you make the tsun quicker or harder and run slower or softer it might help people.understand the intended meaning.
