Thread for sharing songs you like and requesting recommendations for other songs with a similar sound/vibe.
(Adjacent to the "Music Sharing Thread" but with a different goal)
Thought I would make this thread with selfish motivations to find my own recs.
I love the tuning in this vid embed and am looking for others with the same sound.
Also for consideration:

I'm curious to know if such thing as "Vocaloid Grunge" exists. Western bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains definitely have a sizeable fanbase in Japan so there must be at least one producer out there making Grunge or Grunge-influenced tracks. If anybody knows any examples that aren't covers please let me know.

Can someone recommend any producers who make western-ish music? a lot of Vocaloid stuff is very J-pop / J-rock / Denpa influenced so im looking for something that's more western-influenced. Genres like Alt. Rock, Piano Rock, Britpop-influenced, etc.
No.9745
>>9716If you're thinking of strictly non-Western producers (which you seemed to imply), I don't know who I'd recommend. Masa is equal parts Western and non-Western influenced, but I'm not sure if I like most of his newer stuff, either. He has something good here and there though, like Flower Moon or the whole London series.
Otherwise, Sweet Revenge and VocaCircus are my top picks and wildly different. Sweet Revenge (if memory serves, she's Korean or at least knows the language + Japanese but most of her music is in English) did numetal and unfortunately retired. VocaCircus is on hiatus to become a VTuber, but his music is very obviously based on 2000s-era radio pop.

Any synthwave? (Aside from Mekaloton and that guy who makes covers?)
No.10680
>>10679I guess you mean Astrophysics. I don't really think anyone is strictly devoted to synthwave in that way, but you might find isolated tracks from trance producers that scratch the itch. Aura Qualic, Spacelectro, and Clean Tears come to mind:

YouTube's search function has been really sucking ass lately so I guess I'd ask here. Does anybody have good Vocaloid sex songs that aren't DECO*27 or that one Oliver song? And when I say sex songs I mean the theme of the song, no one's fucking to Miku.

>>16552This. DeadballP had Luka singing about having an abortion back in the day. I think the western fandom has a habit of taking Vocaloid as something to be professional when really it's all been about the shitposts. I remember when lappy released "booty shorts" and while I found it a bit tacky people were very prudish about it. The truth is that both professionals and shitposters have a place in Vocaloid.

https://youtu.be/rYpNmptgvmM?si=jjEtRMC0qsnrm_rWBreaking Point (2011) feels like a forgotten song to me. It's by Crusher and Mystsaphyr and uses Kikyuune Aiko. I really love this one still
https://youtu.be/39mGP4leyfE?si=HsvCvErpFiLH8ZLIUntil the Bitter End (2010) might have actually been the first English Vocametal I have ever heard. It uses Luka and is by SweetRevengeK. Of the songs I've posted, this is my favorite. Dirty Duty and Miracle is Dead are also really, really good. The lyrics of the songs this producer made unfortunately made a few people really mad back in the day, but in my opinion it's extremely tame.

vocametal anons I need help. Does some kind of remix of this song exist or did my head just make it up. I remember it being shorter (close to 3 mins) and the song was soft with mostly just gumi singing until the chorus kicks in. Also that version only had one verse and one chorus unlike this one.
