Thread for sharing songs you like and requesting recommendations for other songs with a similar sound/vibe.

(Adjacent to the "Music Sharing Thread" but with a different goal)

Thought I would make this thread with selfish motivations to find my own recs.

I love the tuning in this vid embed and am looking for others with the same sound.

Also for consideration:

Any vocaloid songs that sound like the band Perfume?

 No.16505

any dark industrial stuff?

 No.16514

No wonder people don't take WVP seriously lol

 No.16552

>>16514
it's not that serious lol
jp producers have been doing this for longer

 No.16588

This. DeadballP had Luka singing about having an abortion back in the day. I think the western fandom has a habit of taking Vocaloid as something to be professional when really it's all been about the shitposts. I remember when lappy released "booty shorts" and while I found it a bit tacky people were very prudish about it. The truth is that both professionals and shitposters have a place in Vocaloid.

I have not been hearing KAFU too much these days and I'm beginning to miss her. Give me some recent KAFU songs /leek/.

 No.16840

>>16588
Wait, those songs were meant to be satire? I used to think they were dark and disturbing as a kid

 No.16842

>>16840
Apparently DeadballP wrote Wash My Blood to prove that you can get away with breaking the TOS as long as you do it in another language

 No.16843

>>16842
Funny if true. That means I can get away with making Po-ua sing in Japanese about periods.

What would the Vocaloid equivalent to Ween be? Daijobu-P?

Looking for english shoegaze (vocaloid of course)

 No.17794

Any essential EN Vocaloid songs made before the 2020's? Preferably songs that aren't by Circus-P or Ghost because I've heard everything from them.

>>17794
Sex Games by superbass1, kek

 No.17799

>>17795
You post this as a joke but superbass1 was genuinely kino. One of the best Sweet Ann producers and probably the only English producer to make songs about sex.

 No.17800

this dude has a song about his trip to the philippines and for the music video he recorded himself fucking

 No.17802

>>17800
Oh you weren't kidding. Well if there is one Vocaloid producer out there who fucks it's probably him, can't say I'm too surprised.

Pitch Black Refrain (2012) by MsConstantine might've actually been the first use of Big Al I have ever heard. Sure, the song is edgy and only got 24k over the years, but I really love it and think it still holds up.

Breaking Point (2011) feels like a forgotten song to me. It's by Crusher and Mystsaphyr and uses Kikyuune Aiko. I really love this one still
https://youtu.be/39mGP4leyfE?si=HsvCvErpFiLH8ZLI
Until the Bitter End (2010) might have actually been the first English Vocametal I have ever heard. It uses Luka and is by SweetRevengeK. Of the songs I've posted, this is my favorite. Dirty Duty and Miracle is Dead are also really, really good. The lyrics of the songs this producer made unfortunately made a few people really mad back in the day, but in my opinion it's extremely tame.

Came across this small producer with Teto SV shoegaze (embedded)

This is a bit of a specific request but any Vocaloid that sounds like Burial?

 No.22106

>>22063
Watashi No Koko has some creepy ambient that sounds like you're visiting an abandoned place, but if you mean Burial's dubstep tracks then I can't think of anything, his sound is pretty unique.

 No.23187

Any good synthpop reminiscent of Depeche Mode? I know ASTROPHYSICS but they don't make original songs.

 No.23228

vocametal anons I need help. Does some kind of remix of this song exist or did my head just make it up. I remember it being shorter (close to 3 mins) and the song was soft with mostly just gumi singing until the chorus kicks in. Also that version only had one verse and one chorus unlike this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e766xi73NLI

I think someone else made a song inspired by it and creditted it in their description which is how I found it

 No.24363

I'm tired of listening to the same 4 prods /leek/, give me some of your favorite obscure producers

 No.24372

>>24363
I will never stop talking about how much I love shr. Please listen to shr.

 No.25715

Any late night drive songs like this?

 No.25717

>>17794
I know they're a polarizing figure but GHOST's music arguably marked the 2010's (specifically the mid-late 2010's a.k.a the "vocaloid is dead" era).

 No.25718

>>25717
Ah i'm stupid I didn't realize you said "no Ghost songs" in your post

 No.27387

IAbro if you're still here by chance (or literally anyone who likes IA). Can you suggest any IA songs?.

 No.27405

 No.27999

Any songs or producers that sound like Devo?

>>27999
He doesn't upload much but decoyman1200 is very influenced by Devo, Talking Heads and all those funky 80's bands
