No.2188
It's all on the internet archive, as seen here:
https://archive.org/download/vocaloid-dbtool-application/VOCALOID%20Developer/Some people were saying they wanted to port it to android, and some others converted their utau to work in vocaloid with it. Here's an example:

>>7492Surprising if true. Did the V4 devkit leak?.
No.7914
>>7493No, it didn't leak. People just managed to figure out a way to merge the banks they made with V4 data to make them V4 pretty much.
No.7915
>>2862Yep, the folder has dictionary stuff in it. Nothing in the French folder, though, despite ALYS existing at one point.
No.7916
Honestly, I still wonder where the devkit even came from.
Yamaha has been investigating, from what people have told me, but it really is curious.
No doubt some of the files here probably came from someone else, but who had this first, and who did it eventually get to before it started being shared before someone publicly uploaded it? Maybe wherever it came from might have the V4 kit as well?
No.7930
>>7916Probably a disgrunted employee as it tends to happen with most shit that leaks
No.7936
>>7930From what company is the question? I'm not really confident this came from Yamaha. If it was Yamaha, you'd think they'd leak the compression software as well.
No.7937
>>7936Likely a western one considering Japan finds piracy immoral
No.7939
>>7937I wouldn't say they find it immoral. As much as Japan sticks to the rules, they're also guilty of using the devkit and piracy, but it is likely a company outside Japan, just based on the dictionary folders.
No.7940
>>7939Didn't they flip out over the Teto BLOOMING thing because gaijin were pirating it?
No.7941
>>7940There were Japanese pirating too. Just because there is more mob mentality of following rules, doesn’t mean they are all following them, let alone honest about following them.
Not to mention there were some who literally just jumped on board that mess to be racist and xenophobic.
It’s also kinda, like, if everyone followed the rules in Japan, we wouldn’t be seeing people selling voice banks on buyee either because that is technically against the rules too. Japan is no better than us.
No.7942
>>7916The devkit was uploaded by the same account as Lucia and Luan, so I would guess that's the source. They were already using recycled devkits from Bruno and Clara instead of getting them from Yamaha
No.7943
>>7942Unfortunately we know enough about Luan and Lucia to know that they did not come along with the dev kit. Both uploads were put up by the same collector and the dev kit doesn’t have any files that would support it coming from Giuseppe.
Luan and Lucia’s files had actually leaked out years before the devkit but unlike the devkit didn’t see widespread conversation. Basically Luan and Lucia were given to sources Giuseppe had trusted at the time for private archival however as you can tell it still managed to leak out and get passed around until someone made the files public. It’s a bit more touchy but it should be important to note that many people just found out Giuseppe passed away a few years back.
The devkit by comparison I have 3 personal theories where it came from but even with that in mind there’s nothing a lot of supporting evidence.

>>7943>Giuseppe passed away a few years back. Can't believe this is how i find out. Was this made public recently? I swear I checked his wiki page last year and there wasnt anything about his death.

>>7950This pretty much. It only became more spread the last few weeks.
>>7944Either it came from a new company that didn’t take off and we don’t know about as a result, it came from Vivi’s old company, or it came from someone related to PowerFX. It’s really the Arabic dictionary being present that’s the big question.
No.7954
>>7953>Arabic dictionarySounds like a VocaTone thing
No.7958
>>2862Finally someone else discusses this! I’ve been fascinated ever since the kit leaked, especially since unlike French there was actually a dictionary ready despite the fact that we knew there was gonna be a french ‘loid but never an Arabic one. Yamaha also did release an sample pack for Arabic music once too iirc. think I’ve seen of a design of an Arabic ‘loid named something along the lines of “Sahrajad” (???) going around but I originally just assumed it was a fanloid or UTAU. In the rare case they’re real, I’m like 90% sure their name started with S. (Also not gonna lie, the design seemed too immodest to appeal to Arabic countries lol. Unless their target audience was maybe Arabic speakers in the West/other countries.)
Although I feel said Arabic ‘loid would have probably just been another boring stock photo type rather than an actual character, rip

No.7962
So technically with this devkit you could make a Vocaloid in any language?
No.7965
>>7963Yeah, I did some digging myself and found that out but you were quicker
>>7962I believe I’ve seen people make French ‘loids with this despite the lack of a dictionary so assuming yes!
No.7966
It would have been really funny if this leaked during the V3 era. 2ch would've had a blast making realistic sounding VIPPERloids.
