Did they just tease Luka V6?

 No.20216

>>20215
It's either Luka or the Kagamines
They don't care about Kaito and Meiko, and Luka was for years the best English vocaloid until Gumi came out

 No.20217

if it's luka i hope she doesn't sound like SP

 No.20219

>>20216
I've always hated Luka English, I can barely understand what she says even now. Using her Japanese bank for English sounds better to me.

 No.20222

They're clearly trying to invoke Kei's iconic V2 Miku design with some modernizations instead of going with something different like V2 Append or V3 English. I might have expected more novelty to get people excited for the new technology, but Crypton seem to be offering a familiar look for Miku instead.

 No.20225

Good design. I like the art style. Most importantly her massive twintails are back.

 No.20226

>>20222
Well they did make her sleeve keyboard thingy more colorful and futuristic if that counts

 No.20228

I like all the little touches they've added from V2. The zipper boots are funny, like they talked to one cosplayer about what's practical. Don't care much for the shading or the weird halftone dots on the one twintail, but it's a good base.

 No.20229

Might be a weird callout but I find her slightly blank facial expression very cute. It’s appropriately robotic.

Aren't those usually wired to the receiver? The lack of wires or a visible mic makes it look like she's literally wearing wireless earbuds with a microphone near the pink arrow. Also they're apparently clip-ons, ouch.

 No.20258

>>20230
Crypton should've never made the shirt white and Sega should've never made Sonic's arms blue

 No.20261

They've basically just modernized the v2 design which isn't bad at all. Just wish they made the colors/style a little more futuristic or different.

>>20222
Append looked soooooo coool its a shame they'll never do designs like that again

>>20234
The earbuds are well designed but damn the headphones were better.

>>20258
Making the shirt a generic white instead of that shiny reflective gray was one of the lamest design changes of all time

 No.20264

A detail i missed before. For some reason her hair is raster shaded but it is only thing shaded that way. I wonder why. Not like rasterizing conveys hair texture well. Is it to convey shininess while avoiding a gradient? It does seem that may be why so long as you dont look too close

>>20257
I meant it probably is meant to be a futuristic IEM but yeah that basically just makes it look like earbuds.

The worst part about the white shirt era was how every design felt the same. Now that Miku has a new illustrator and her shirt is gray again, I can say V4 is my favorite from that time. It was the design that felt the most like it was doing its own thing, even if that thing was kind of bland. Chinese Miku is also unique, but it feels more like a costume to me.

Admittedly as funny as it is seeing people worry this is the last Miku bank, it does make me worry how easy a misinterpretation were to become spread by everyone so quickly. It even was spoken about by a handful of Japanese speakers.

As obvious as the answer is “no, Crypton will make more Miku banks because she makes a lot of money for the company”, it does genuinely worry me how much of the community jumps to negative conclusions near immediately. It happens way too frequently these days. Even I’m guilty as charged, but I try to approach responsibly at least.

This was really stupid and i can't believe there's a small minority that's delusional enough to think this will ever happen

So now that the dust has settled
Thoughts on miku v6?

Too nasal but way better than NT and SP

I liked it but they really need to get Saki to record new samples

 No.26403

i'm kinda conflicted with miku v6, but overall i like her. i like how much clearer her english is, i like how she sounds close to NT (i like NT miku dont @ me) and i like a lot of aspects about her design. however, why the fuck did they make the COLLAR of her shirt white, but the rest grey?!

something about LAM's artstyle seems... odd? it looks rly polished and great but idk. maybe i just miss KEI's style. i adore how her skirt goes with SV teto.

I actually like LAM but I miss KEI so much. I wonder why they never hired him after V2 considering he made the most popular Miku design.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I remember people complaining about his art style shift in the early 2010s. Even now, it would look fairly different.

I mean it does look a bit strange like she's made out of crystals but it's not bad

 No.27458

I was kinda hoping Miku V6 would give us new Haku or Neru originals but no one's using it even for Miku songs. Sad.
