As you're probably aware by now i want to add more features to 39chan in order to keep it fresh and exciting. One of the ideas I've been discussing with staff is a 24/7 stream of Vocaloid music videos emulating the golden era of MTV, with both old and new songs (perhaps with blocks on certain days at certain hours to keep them separate). Of course, right now this is just an idea and not something that i can confirm will happen. But what do you think /leek/? Do you like the idea?.

Im not sure how that would be done without using a massive amount of bandwidth. I had fallen asleep while on a live IP cam of somewhere in Japan and found several gigs had been used.

Just something off top of my head to throw out there, if you do might be neat to figure how to work in a shader to emulate CRT displays which would help make up for old very low res highly pixelated videos and display the videos in a little TV image frame or something. Apparently MPV has shaders so there is an open source project that can be referenced.

I don't think adding a filter over it would be a good idea. It should at the very least be optional if implemented. Because if you want to strap something like a Chromecast device to a CRT and watch it via an an IPTV app the image would probably come out distorted.

I just checked on DirecTV. MTV, MTV2 and MTV Classic are all there. MTV had stopped airing music videos long ago and MTV2 for a while was the music video channel till just a few years ago it also stopped airing music videos except at around 2AM eastern standard time. No music videos on MTV or MTV2 but MTV Classic still airs music videos 24/7. FUSE is the channel that still does more current music videos I think but I cant be bothered right now to check what their programming is and I doubt they have a Japan division since not as big as MTV was.

Actually thinking about it more how does it look with the twin tail triangles spaced a little further out and adding a rectangle between them and the terebi head to represent the hair ties? Im not sure if that would look better or not. I could do it myself to check but broken computer and id lower the image quality a bit not working from the source file.
