 No.1507

Have you ever cried to a Vocaloid song?

 No.1508

"i'm glad you're evil too" is one of the few songs that made me cry. since i heard it, it is one of my favorite songs. it's, certainly, a masterpiece

 No.1509

>>1507
KLY/Issen Kounen by Iyowa. I grew up during the late V3-early V4 transition period of Vocaloid and watched the vocal-synth scene evolve as i got older. This song feels like the vsynths are telling you "thank you for sticking around".

Not a song but this album broke me when i was a child

 No.1521

even re-listening to it right now is making me sniffly

 No.1638

I didn't pay attention to the lyrics the first time i heard this, now that i know what it's about i tear up every time i listen to it

 No.1658

don't even understand mandarin but it makes my eyes watery, very underrated

 No.1677

>>1638
imawa is definitely in the top 5 of horribly depressing vocaloid songs

 No.1873

Can't listen to vid related if I'm in a bad mindset, hits a bit too close to home.
Siinamota's last few releases also get me on occasion.

>>1508
>>1638
I love these a lot.

 No.2291

Not even a sad song but Melt.

 No.2296

>>2291
I did too I thought it was only me wtf
I was too embarrassed to admit it though. thank u anon for ripping my confession deep out of my soul

 No.2307

>>2296
Who DOESNT cry to Melt is the real question, its one of the most unintentionally(?) emotional songs

 No.2813

machine love, double lariat, and cadmium colors all get me pretty weepy. last night, good night is a big one, too, but that feels like cheating since i listen to it whenever there’s a loss i’m dealing with.
>>2291
same here! miku’s voice is so sweet and earnest, it’s such a moving song

 No.2814

From Y to Y… something about it gets me every time

 No.2815

>>2813
>double lariat
glad im not the only one who gets emotional over a stupid little song about spinning

 No.2830

The entire doomsday series is amazing

 No.2865

>>2856
Oh yeah. I guess 16bit warz is considered the #2 hit, but Wanderlast has a special place in my heart and it’s super emotional.

 No.3027

YOZURINA is the first vocaloid song i remember that made me cry because the lyrics felt too relatable to me at the time

 No.3028

>>3027
Just relistened to it. It still hurts.

 No.3065

>>3027
<How shady, nah… I couldn’t care if you were.
<I’m poisoned by all those “I love you”s
<And can’t tell sour from sweet anymore…
<…I want to go to see you. How many times is this now?
<Even if you’re actually a demon, or you’ve just played me all along–
<Even if the you, there, isn’t actually the person I’m fated to be with–
<I find myself hoping, yet again.

 No.3116

That is dangerous and this is dangerous too, which makes it so much more fun
"It happens all the time, it happens all the time", a tautology of self-delusion
A one-way love affair that turned me into a weak rabbit

 No.3124

>>2854
As a kid i thought the music video was a real game you could play and i was disappointed when i found out that it wasn't. I wanted to be Miku and float across New York City.

I saw some of these in the non-diva vidya thread here on 39chan and loved all the ones i played. This would've been a dream come true for me about 12 years ago.

Hate to admit this but Triple Baka. I know it's a happy song but it reminds me of times that are gone, a world that no longer exists.

 No.5445

File: 1748929303726.png(952.05 KB, 1900x1900, ClipboardImage.png)

I haven't cried to it but BABEL is a bit too relatable as someone in their early 20's

 No.5446

this song gets me really bad, especially after 2:18
makes me think a lot about my younger self

 No.5505

Paper Plane
I recently came across this song again and it's still so sad.

>ビームじゃなくても風邪とかで割と死んじゃうんだ

 No.7564

I know it's Siinamota's most popular song but Strobe Light brings a tear to my eye. It's such a good song and the music video is peak 2000's flash animation.

Yes, its about an internet relationship where the girl is so in love that she doesnt care how the guy looks or if it ends up being a girl. She just wants to spend every moment with him.

 No.7851

A pretty good representation of the hikki life.

I wonder what happened in Iyowa's life that led him to write one of the most depressing songs of all time

 No.11352

rest in peace

 No.11355

Honestly almost all of siinamota/powapowa-p's songs make me cry but Astronauts fucks me up badly. He's one of my favorite producers of all time. I used to listen to him as a little kid a lot when he was still active and the day I turned 20 was surreal. I wish life was kinder

everytime i played "Dear" on project diva it would make me sad enough to the point i tear up a bit. I had to disable the english lyrics mod when i wanted to clear it at a score better than 70%

 No.21078

First song I cried to

 No.21729

Melt still gets me every time

 No.21738

Not yet. I used to be very sensitive and still am but I am very numbed emotionally where music cant hit me like it used to and it is really sad it is like that for me now.

 No.21739

>>21738
I was also sensitive when I was younger and then later became more emotionally numb, but music is one of the few things that still makes me feel things sometimes. I can't say that I've ever cried to a Vocaloid song - at least none that I distinctly remember - if I did it was probably something nostalgia driven like Triple Baka.

I have cried to non-vocal-synth music, and this cover >>19851 (but not the original for some reason). Something out the minimal synthesizer reminds me of a music box, I had a stuffed animal with this lullaby as a child and hearing it again sometimes makes me cry if I'm in the right mood.

 No.21740

>>21739
I get that. My parents have this music box which always awakened my curiosity as a kid. I don't remember what it played, and its been decades since the last time it worked, though I think it played a music box version of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake if i'm not misremembering.
All I know is that it made me cry. But it also reminded me of mortality and how nothing lasts forever. How one day they will no longer be here, how their child - now an adult, will eventually die as well in a (hopefully) long distant future.

But anyway, I digess. I'm leaving you with this cover of Toeto.

 No.21741

>>21738
You should try watching the live performances, personally that brings me to tears for some reason. Other than that, I think maybe Because You’re Here and maybe ODDS&ENDS have gotten me.

 No.21742

>>21739
Positive and negative emotions numbed in me but i cant pinpoint exactly when. I font get frission as easily either which apparently is directly linked to emotion.

Actually now I think of it Teto Be Told, Dreams Retold by America Minyo Kenkyukai had me a little teary for some reason. S

Seems it takes very atmospheric and heavy sounds to effect me now when in last very gentle would be best at touching me and even then it still isnt the same as it used to be. I have been working on finding ways to reverse this permanently even if it means potentially making me a wreck.

>>21741
Maybe since I am still able to tear up about things just it is very specific triggers now that I cant pinpoint well.

 No.21743

>>21741
>the live performances

 No.21744

i burned a cd to listen to when i get upset. gives me 80 minutes to be miserable, then ends with yoru no owari to motivate me to get off my ass and do something else.

as for songs that have made me cry: refraction girl. it reminds me of someone im close to. makes me afraid for her future. that and the sora no sakana samples hit me hard.

theres definitely more, but i cant recall right now. my memory is doodoo

 No.25409

>>2291
The intro makes me think of funeral music

 No.25419

>>25409
i can kinda hear it but for me its not the intro, its the whole song. it feels nostalgic.

 No.26344

This one always gets me
