I've been wondering for a while. What if one of these artists took advantage of the popularity of their OCs and turned them into actual voicebanks?. Cause characters like Nukunuku's Osage-chan have an entire subfandom within the Vocaloid fandom.

A lot of VocaP's are not very creative with OC names so they usually name their characters after the songs. Iyowa is the biggest example because Nouten Nozomi is probably the only character NOT named after one of his songs.

>>15034Always found it interesting how these characters almost have their own subfandom within the Vocaloid fandom. For example MV characters are pretty big in Japan and you'll find entire accounts dedicated to drawing them, with the Iyowa Girls being the most popular 'subfandom', and if you dare call Kurari-chan "KAFU" or Osage-chan "Kaai Yuki" they'll skin you alive.

>>29317Honestly, I’ve seen Osage-chan as just Yuki since Cooler Girl released. She seems like a flavored illustration of the Vocaloid who was retconned into an OC, like Aimaina-chan or even the blue girl from Kagepro. Not that it’s a bad thing, I get why producers would want that kind of OC.
No.29344
>>29343Osage-chan is Nukunuku Nigirimeshi's OC and she existed in 2018 before Inabakumori started using her. She also appears in non-Yuki songs.
No.29345
>>29344Learned something new today. The combination of similar features + use of black-on-grey color schemes in some songs makes her look so similar to the Kaai Yuki illustrations in earlier Inabakumori videos that I thought it was just a change in art style
No.29347
>>29346Pretty sure the first Yuki here is drawn by Inaba himself though, or Nuku trying to imitate his art style. If i'm not mistaken before Nuku's involvement Inaba himself would draw his own music videos.

For anyone interested we are working on a database website dedicated entirely to MV characters. We've been silently working on this for years but its finally in a state where i can make the link public and say "go and contribute".
If you have info about a MV character you like you can go and submit it here, it is a wiki after all. Just make sure you follow the guidelines and character information is sourced.

>>32513It's an open wiki mate, you're free to create an account and make the article yourself.
That being said, as the main contributor, i haven't made a LTR article yet because she doesn't have a name and her creator's response to "who is she" questions wasn't "oh she's my oc called blah blah" but rather something along the lines of "it could be miku on a bad day but ultimately its up to people's interpretation". Japan refers to her as Puzaru-chan or Puzacchi while the west mostly refers to her as LTR Miku. And if it really is Miku we don't need an article on her.
