Do producers use DiffSinger at all or is it somehow more niche than UTAU? I have not heard a single original song created with DiffSinger
No.13772
>>13717Diffsinger is a lot more niche then utau, helps that utau has been around for so long but it seems that if producers want a more realistic style they just use synthv instead. I also don't know of any original songs that use diffsinger which is a shame because some of the vbs that are out there sound pretty good in my personal opinion.

Feels like every VIPPERLOID's fate is to end up:
a) Abandoned
b) On DiffSinger
c) On ACE STUDIO
There's a secret 4th option which is "On DiffSinger and ACE STUDIO at the same time", which is what happened to Ruko and Ritsu.

No.19166
How long till a DS voicebank actually takes off? I never see anyone use this engine for anything other than covers
No.23340
How can we make DiffSinger succeed? It's one of the best engines available. It has recognizable voicebanks such as Gahata Meiji, Yokune Ruko and Namine Ritsu. Yet it feels like no one uses it, not even for covers.
No.23341
>>23340The problem with DiffSinger is that on top of being a bit of a hassle to set up, none of the major producers are aware of it or appear to have any sort of interest in it. The day a DiffSinger original gets popular there may be an increase in DS users, but its all up to the producers in the end.
Also call me delusional but I think things will change a little with the release of TORIKO EN. God knows if that will ever come out, but the potential is way too big for it to not have at least a little bit of impact on the engine. Sure, she's a wholoid now, but the fully animated Spoken For cover and all the people here saying they'll make songs with her once EN drops gives me hope.
No.23342
>>23341That doesn't sound too far fetched. I just hope her voicebank drops eventually because so far both Voxsoft and the voice provider have been radio silent, but I assume it's because of Sena DS

Is there such thing as a Jinriki DiffSinger the way there are Jinriki UTAUs?
No.25065
>>25064yeah but the community looks down on it due to its similarities with those RVC voicebanks that are made without the VP's consent.
however, there are ethical ones like adachi rei and denka shaa (made with the creator's consent plus made up of non-human samples), and supposedly that new acme iku diffsinger that's going around was trained on her maidloid audio and might be made with StudioS' consent.
No.25888
Is there a voicebank that 'defines' this engine like Vocaloid has Miku and UTAU has Teto?
No.25892
>>25888Too early to say because DiffSinger is still pretty new and not many big producer use it.
Right now it seems to be Gahata Meiji but I could totally see Toriko taking her place if her voicebank got sound quality related updates, new singing modes and multilang support (more than just JP/EN)
No.25893
