What's the stance regarding Pocaloid these days? A decade ago they'd consider you a subhuman for pirating Vocaloid but now it seems everybody's fine with it and I even see people encouraging others to pirate Utatane Piko.

 No.251

people are still generally iffy with it but most wouldn't really care if you're just starting. gain a following or start making a profit, and people will start to call you out for it.

Seems like Vocaloid is fine now but people still get mad if you pirate other softwares: https://x.com/R_Kitsune_Neo/status/1844558569250664956
They snitched on whoever made the SynthV crack almost as soon as it was up

 No.824

>>823
That's retarded

 No.825

>>824
Exactly..I think that might be why “SynthV 2” is happening even though the software is fairly advanced compared to other vsynths and it’s not really needed. The crackers said they were delaying it til the next SV update so Kanru/DT couldn’t patch it but I guess that’s not happening anymore..

To be fair, at one point the crackers literally hosted the crack on Github at one point, which I feel Kanru himself probably uses, idk what they themselves were thinking!

The Vocaloid piracy scene is so bad, kind of because most zoomers suck at torrenting in general, but considering how popular SV is outside of the fandom I’m suprised “normie” crackers aren’t also interested in it, considering cracking teams outside the fandom were doing Vocaloid cracks back in the actual POCALOID days

I miss the sites the Chinese side of the fandom used to make, Western Pocaloid scene is full of drama, minors, and hypocrites like everything else here

 No.826

>>825
I wanna say that maybe we should have a piracy thread but at the same time we're on an anonymous imageboard site which is risky due to the fact that anyone can just upload viruse and claim its a crack.

 No.1836

File: 1740474045570.png(41.77 KB, 963x640, Pocaloid.png)

I wanna reflect on it and say that pocaloid2 the actual fake vocaloid2 thing made the vocals sound SO BAD and was so especially noticeable if it was a fast song. I look at my old covers and they were just so choppy. Still so nostalgic tho

 No.1837

>>1836
I still use V4FE for my covers lol. I think V5 and V6 have already been cracked but i've heard bad things about them so i never bothered installing them and opted for good ol V4.

 No.1838

as a person who can't even buy a synth v voice, i wish there was a dedicated piracy group for it, or even for cevio. however when it's synth v people say "b-but kanru puts a lot of effort into it and it's cheaper than vocaloid!!!" and now people are complaining that kanru is "appealing to AI bros", despite the fact that AI fans are still the minority. will we get cracked synth v one day? i think not.

I forgot where i got it since i downloaded it years ago but there's this thing called svkey for SVS1 and I've never had issues with it

 No.1844

>>1838
it's real, just hard to find. try to look for sv sharp or yumekey or whatever. my friend gave me an install, i'd host and link it but that's probably not allowed

 No.1845

[LINK REDACTED DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS]

Seeing as someone's already sent some links leading to cracks this is it. They released it in the most retarded possible way I think I've ever seen (did a gacha with activation codes?) so they store your computer's info somewhere. Don't install it if you're not alright with this

Brothers, where can i find a torrent for SVS and Una's voicebank? Preferably not SV sharp, heard it's a RAT. Any yumekeys or something?

 No.3427

Wait what does that mean what’s a RAT

 No.3428

>>3427
>A RAT (remote access Trojan) is malware an attacker uses to gain full administrative privileges and remote control of a target computer. RATs are often downloaded along with seemingly legitimate user-requested programs – such as video games – or are sent to their target as an email attachment via a phishing email.

Take it with a grain of salt though, this is just a rumor i heard being passed around and might be bs.

I’m in their server and the devs regularly openly admit to successfully bluescreening someone’s computer. Apparently said person was a doxxer or something so maybe they “deserved” it but that has unfortunate implications for anyone else who installed the program. Unfortunately I was stupid and desperate enough at the time to become one of those people.
I can’t really think about how else they’d link the computer info to the user without a RAT.

Also don’t click any of the ads on the site obviously, apparently the site claims that the download is “in the ads” although you all probably already know better.

 No.3453

>>3451
I do remember them saying that they just used info the person posted themselves. I don't know anything about programming but that could've had something to do with it. I just remember the codes having something to do with your data being sent to them, like your User account name (no clue how else they'd use the code system since I vaguely remember that they were able to take your access to the software away? I may be wrong though)

The dude who made it says what they collect is in some privacy policy, which is probably a lie lol. His site seems to be down so idk what it said. This is the license file that came with the download, since I got it a few months ago

 No.3486

>>3485
>So is it safe to download or…?
As long as you're fine with them having your PC's info. And the ability to ban you from using the crack if it matches up with info about you online
Though if you're just using Teto, it'd probably be better for your privacy to use SVkey with an older version of SV + her voicebank

 No.3487

>>3486
Where do i even get svkey?

I used to have it on my old pc but i really just got it off some random le reddit comment because it's the only site aside from here where you don't get murdered for talking about Vocaloid piracy.

 No.3491

>>3487
I also got it from a reddit comment. I think the site is down (it was https://jinpwnsoft.re/sharp/ but idk if it's up right now?) but the code for it was 9KVLYZMZU75T0PAIO7H3BRZ9I

No, that's the old site from the 2010s that's barely maintained, hence how there's some V6 vocals and not all.

well, well... i came back to this thread because something strange happened to me.

>puts a spare copy of SV# on an USB

>transfers it to new computer
>puts the key that the code offers for you
>?????
>installation suddenly says i am banned

i'm not sure if they suddenly shut down the system and everything else, since i heard that they restructured how the activation codes work, but what scares me is that it will show that i'm banned.

anons, is the same thing happening to you? using a spare installation and the activation code SV# would provide?

 No.9514

>>9512
I straight up don't use SV because of this

 No.9518

>>9514
afaik, SV# did shut down its download due to problems with infringement, but they replaced some of the key system with one via phone line.

but i am not giving someone else my phone number just to crack the program, and if i did, i can't just straight out call the phone, since calling to foreign numbers is banned on my country (lol dictatorship moment).

so, this confuses me a lot, because i don't think the original key was straight out banned from people? it is still listed on the server.

people say SV obsidian is a thing but i am still not that sure about it (it jumps with a trojan alert, though i think it's the usual false alarm for cracks... and they're from the same group who does SV#, so, eh, i don't know).

 No.9523

>>9518
Didn't the SV# team get caught forcing bluescreens if they didn't like you with one of their SV crack projects?

That's sketchy as fuck. That's actually UK government levels of privacy breach, what the fuck?. At that point I would just buy the software.

Nothing at all, but the 6.5 version of it is now very hard to obtain and nobody's cracked 6.6+ yet or obtained the newer VBs since ERdK went down. The one person who claimed to just had a legit installer and didn't do any of the work to make it functional, only to get struck down by Yamaha

 No.9555

>>9536
if it's an early version you should be okay. the first yumekey cracks and those by the name svkey were made by a different group of people on the same team. i've heard the teams of yumecorp have changed through time, SV# uses a (partially) new team.

well, anons. i found out some rather sketchy stuff after contacting a programmer friend to explain me what do they find suspicious about it.

once we're finished with it, i'll explain everything. stay tuned!

 No.9616

>>9559
alright.
i ran a virustotal scan for my friend and showed it to them. meanwhile, i explained the following proven facts about the practices of the owners of SV#/yumekey.

>SV# can know some of your user data at some extent

>due to it, some people can be banned, usually minors or the person who was blacklisted from using SV# entirely (who even had a BSOD through their computer)
>it is known SV# works through a server for internet connection

back to virustotal; my friend checked the available logs for the SV# .exe, and guess what: it forces you to update your google chrome (or any chromium-based browser) so it can log in. take in mind these logs can have sensitive information, and, there's a chance they know what you do. so yeah this shit is spyware lmao

 No.9624

One of my mutuals who had SV# and/or YumeKey at one point also said their PC bluescreened so hard they lost everything on the disk recently

 No.9625

i feel like a lot here might be blown out of proportion but regardless it does prove that the SV# people are not exactly very trustable
