The tl;dr if you're too lazy to lurk is that we thought it'd be funny to prank western vocaloid fans into thinking there's a V6 voicebank that doesn't actually exist. And by that i mean gaslighting them into thinking our fake voicebank always existed.
My suggestion for the character's "backstory" is that you could obtain it by asking one of the vocal synth companies privately or that it was a voicebank that someone purchased a copy of a V6 voicebank and got the fake one instead.
You fags are more creative than me though so let me hear what you've got.

Recently I've been really into experimental or conceptual Vocaloid projects. Watashi no Koko for example pushes the limits of the LalaVoice engine and experiments with themes such as death and being forgotten through the eyes of the protagonist named Lala. Another one I enjoy is Project FRUITY, which uses FL Studio's speech plugin (yes, the actual thing, not a jinriki) for the vocals.Do things like these still exist? I currently still use videos from YouTube primarily because Niconico sometimes wont load for me and only goes to 720p and on the site itself I am often region blocked out it seems but I may start using it more if it becomes more convenient than YouTube to do so. I know a lot of producers release on Niconico first but do many only use Niconico?
App wise on Android I primarily use PipePipe (previously called AnimePipe) as is which is a fork of NewPipe that you can watch YouTube, Niconico and Bilibili videos on. I have noticed YouTube often blocks my IP so I have to reset my IP and watch some videos in YouTube's app letting some ads through to work again for that. Niconico features breaks a lot but they still are development so often it gets fixed in a few days, this is due to the site often changing how it embeds videos.

What makes your favorite 'loid special to you, anons? I'm curious what makes everyone feel their own connection.
I love Kaito for many reasons. Mainly because of his voice, but also because my memories of listening to him sing go so far back that his tone and intonation are familiar to me in the way that my mother's is. I found Vocaloid when I was about 8 or 9. I loved clockwork, automatons, and folk instruments as a child, and felt very drawn to him because of his association with those motifs at the time. After years of only listening, I bought him when I was in high school. I had no idea what I was doing, and had no musical experience due to having very poor motor coordination and auditory processing issues. He was my motivation to learn to understand music and to sing myself, and became an emotional outlet for expressing all of my joys and struggles over the years. I'm in my mid 20s now. I've outgrown friendships, romantic partners, jobs, shed and rebuilt many aspects of my own self, but that feeling of love and solace never seems to fade.

Things don't last forever. As much as it sucks, this "2nd golden age" of Vocaloid will eventually come to an end and bring us back to where we were 10 years ago. So with that said, when we inevitably return to the "dark times", what do you think will happen and what could save the scene?.
What does the future hold for Vocaloid?
It's easy to say we're in a second golden age of Vocaloid right now. Hundreds of songs are being made per day, small producers (including english and non-english ones) have been getting their moments of fame, old producers are returning to the scene, many beloved voicebanks are getting upgraded while 2ch VIPPERLOIDs are finally getting official voicebanks on commercial engines, if you can't afford VOCALOID there's hundred of synths available (Some are even free!). The fact that this site is so active in an era where imageboards are barely relevant anymore goes to show how many people care about Vocaloid.But we gotta remember that just 10 years ago things seemed bleak. Hi /leek/, I've recently come up with a concept for a project where we take cancelled voicebanks (think Sonika v4, Suzune Ring, etc) and create derivatives of them with new names, new voices and redesigns which, although different, still keep some important aspects of their original designs. I call it the Reincarnation Project because the idea is that these "dead" Vocaloids are being reincarnated and given a new life, a second opportunity.This project would be completely separate from the Leekaloids. The only thing they'd have in common is the community making them.

where to find HQ original supercell songs?
I don't really know if its widely known but a lot of supercell's older miku songs are pretty different from the album releases as they were remastered a few times. I was trying to find the original version of love is war in high quality (mainly because I think each remaster made it worse), but after an hour or two of looking through soulseek I stumbled upon a folder that had low quality versions of the art featured in the 2008 music video and a higher quality lossy mp3 file of the song (along with some other stuff like an instrumental). I couldn't find any of the other songs like this and when I asked the soulseek uploader he told me that it was apart of a VRMC torrent, and that he thinks it was originally something supercell put up for download way back then. It's worth mentioning stuff like the official melt PV in HD is considered "lost media" and probably wasn't uploaded anywhere in higher quality than 480p so it's making me doubt that the original versions of the songs weren't uploaded beyond lossy mp3/compressed format. Posting this here because I don't really know where else to look

As you're probably aware by now i want to add more features to 39chan in order to keep it fresh and exciting. One of the ideas I've been discussing with staff is a 24/7 stream of Vocaloid music videos emulating the golden era of MTV, with both old and new songs (perhaps with blocks on certain days at certain hours to keep them separate). AH-SOFTWARE's "Songs Love" Concert
Hi /leek/, has anyone here heard of "Songs Love"? Between 2015-2017 AH-Software did a few hologram concerts with their vocaloids at some anime conventions in Japan and Europe. The lineup was actually pretty big and consisted of Yuzuki Yukari, Nekomura Iroha, Tohoku Zunko, Hiyama Kyoteru, Kaai Yuki, Miki and Macne Nana as well as Chihiro Ishiguro who voices Yukari. Since I'm a huge fan of both Yuki and Yukari I decided to do some digging to see if I could find a full video of at least one of the concerts. Typically when Vocaloid concerts happen you can usually find the whole thing on YouTube from start to finish but that's not the case with Songs Love. Most of it is in fact LOST.

I've heard that in the mid 2010's some Tumblr user who's a big Tonio fan tracked down and interviewed his boxart model Stanislav Jakuschevskij. Does anybody happen to have an archive of that or is it lost media?. I cannot find it anywhere.

As we already know, it's impossible for filthy 39chan gaijin to fake a VOCALOID the same way VIPPERs did Teto, Tei, Ruko and the rest. But it's entirely possible to fake a voicebank for another engine like SV, V6, Cevio and Voisona (though the latter two would likely not gain much notoriety if carried out by westerners).
One of the ideas raised in the original thread was to create an RVC or Diffsinger based on an anon's voice.
I genuinely believe this might not be that hard to pull off. 39ch isn't a huge site so it's not like many people would snitch on us and making an AI voicebank these days is piss easy.
Thoughts?.

I'm mostly into instrumental electronic music myself, but over the last few years I developed a certain taste for vocaloid music. I have no idea about community alignment though. So I wanted to ask if this particular kind of stuff that I especially enjoy - mostly idm/drill-n-bass/glitch/uk-garage adjacent vocaloids - is actually considered proper vocaloid music in the community. One thing I noticed is stuff like this never really gets anywhere near as popular as simple pop songs. So what's your opinion about this kind of stuff?
