This is probably a producer & cover artist specific question but does anyone else have fanloids they make to voice their OCs or because it reminds you of them? I use Osana's config on Otomachi Una for one (though I haven't made anything for that OC quite yet) and I have another that's fully custom for SF-A2 Miki (and HXVOC but that's a bit different in SynthV)
I have some "deeper voiced" ones for Piko and Yohioloid, but they don't inherently "belong" to a character of mine. I don't mind using them for that in the future though.

What is your experience/opinion on other communities besides japanese and american one? Have you heard any translated covers that stood out to you? I think it would be an interesting topic to explore!

My experience with them is that they're usually not as toxic and the people are more open mindend towards genres, subjects, etc. I really hope we eventually get a popular song in a non english, non japanese language some day.

I havent had chance to interact with many fans outside this site. I only know a German girl with a crush on Teto while rest are all from English nations. As for covers I keep remembering the Russian cover of Lagtrain sung by Sati Akura. The language and her voice just works really well with the style of song and she also has a proper video for it too.

Spanishfag here. Compared to the American community, things are mostly chill and our producers are mostly irrelevant unless they do songs in English like darkbluecat who recently started making music in English.
A lot of the dumb behavior from the American community does often spread here, for example, the whole Zaako incident. But people tend to be less "black and white" about it. That's not to say there's no extremes though.

Bruno's recording session makes it evident that you don't need perfect pitch or a perfect sound booth.

...And this wisdom I'm of course ignoring. Melodyne helps, but these "gregorian chants" are a little soul-sucking lol. What I like about word-based lists though is that if you find a mistake somewhere, you can just pull a transition from another recorded line (if you're lucky).
