39chan Gaming Server

Some Mikudayos on /leek/ were talking about potentially hosting a 39chan gaming server for something other than MikuMikuOnline. Games suggested were Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Garry's Mod. Nothing is planned so far, no one has volunteered to host, and at the moment this is all just talk. Did any of you ever roleplay on social media or forums? Does anybody else feel like it's impossible to enjoy small communities or fandoms in peace these days without running into the worst types of people ever? Social media seems to bring out the worst in people. The constant bitching from fans about the content they claim to enjoy, the dramas that get forgotten in less than a week, the obnoxious moralfagging from 14 year old future religious soccer moms. Twitter is just one side of the coin. Reddit is filled with bitter children and manchildren who repeat everything they read on Twitter. Discord is just terrible in every way imaginable, especially public servers where you'll be reading 120 messages per milisecond on a channel with 60 different rules and power tripping mods. Imageboards are unironically the only decent place to discuss this kind of stuff but even then it's impossible to form real friendships off anon threads.

Anyway I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Hi /g/, i feel a bit nostalgic lately and want to play some 'social experience' games a.k.a MMOs where you don't fight things to get XP and just chill with people and talk about your daily life or fandom crap as a 2D/3D avatar. The market was oversaturated with these in the 00's and now it seems like they no longer exist (unless you count mobile garbage that i won't bother touching with a ten foot pole). It's like the moment Discord came out people stopped coming to these online virtual hangouts.

Second Life is a game i've always found ugly to look at and it doesn't help that the userbase has aged to the point where mostly 50 year olds play it. VRChat is (in my opinion) impossible to enjoy without VR gear and don't even get me started on the amount of children and groomers that use it. Roblox has been dogshit since 2014 and suffers from the same issues as VRChat. Habbo Classic is a thing (i could never actually get into Habbo even as a kid but i might try it out to see what its like). 39chan's MikuMikuOnline server exists but is usually empty.
