This board is pretty straightforward. It's for sharing cute images of Vocaloid characters. It was originally created in 2024 to prevent image-dump threads on /leek/. That being said, avoid making discussion threads here, this isn't the place for it.

Rules
If you've got cute Vocaloid / Vocal-Synth images to share, this is the board to share them in. Ecchi is allowed so long as the image doesn't contain nudity. Refrain from posting AI-Generated imagery as this board is intended as a celebration of human-made art. If you see AI art, please report it using the site's report function.

As for IA, the big 8 stopped being a thing by the time Vocaloid culture shifted to be OC centric, which is also IA's strongest period that was caused by her popularity with Kagepro. So she technically wasn't bordering on the big 8, the big 8 stopped existing because of her, and instead the scene shifted to mostly just Miku vs Gumi vs IA with OCs in the MV although Gumi was already falling out of popularity by the time we reached the Dark Ages. IA was the only non Miku loid that did well during the Dark Ages because she managed to cement an isolated scene for herself that she actually didn't get affected by the whole Sand Planet debacle as much. IA plays the role of mutual friend who keeps the peace between the two rivals well I think. She's a newcomer, and is basically an unbiased third party as she did not experience the height of their rivalry, and will likely not choose a side. She also has achievements of her own, so we can have Miku, the largest V2 and vocaloid ever, Teto, the largest UTAU (who later becomes the largest in an engine rivaling vocaloid), and IA, the largest V3 and a newcomer. I think Gumi also works here and she matches the colors better (RGB) and she's pretty big back in V3, but the problem is that she's not a newcomer so she can't really play that unbiased third party peacekeeper role. Next, there's the voices. Miku, strong and distinctly cute, Teto, also strong, but distinctly cool, and now IA, who unlike the two is neutral and soft, which fits the middle ground quite well and but stand out if needed. Technically Gumi is also neutral but I feel like Gumi has more powerful voice that I would clash with the two rivals. So I really like Miku Teto IA, but Miku Teto Gumi is also not bad, all things considered. Thanks for reading my blogpost.
